Doesnt look like any of the big names want that job.

Supposedly they are looking at Derek Dooley and Al Golden.

Dooley obviously has long time ties to the SEC, not sure about Golden.

A lot of people say that Tennessee is the crappiest high profile job in the SEC. Maybe they are right.

There are probably NCAA violations waiting for the new coach thanks to Kiffen's recruiting methods.

Hey Tennessee you got Calipari'd.....welcome to the club:laugh2:

That really sucks for Tennessee but Maybe Cutcliffe (sp?) has some integrity and loyalty to Duke which seems to be a rare thing these days.

It is possible. I know that when Coach K first started enjoying a little success, there were schools who came after him as well but he turned them all down. It's possible. Duke is a bit of a different egg all together.

Holy cow. Tennessee is snakebit.

Seeing a Dooley coaching the Vols would be a tragedy.

WTH.

Why would you turn down Tenn to stay at Duke?

Crazy.

Thw rod down here is there was a dispute with Cutcliffe over how much authority he had in bringing his staff with him. I dont know if its true, but I do remember reasing this a.m. when he announced that he was staying that he referred to hsi staff at Duke as "the best in the country"

I dont believe that its true (best staff part) but the fact that he referenced it when saying he was staying kind infers that maybe there was an issue with him bringing his people in.

Reportedly Derek Dooley is the guy now.
