August 30th, cut down to 75 from max of 90.

September 3rd, cut down to 53.

Today, cut down to 0.

Hey Hos, when Parcells was here he used to tell players that they're not just competing with each other for a roster spot but that thay're also competing with other players who may come free after being cut. Do you know if Jason Garrett is operating under the same philosophy, and if so do you know of any players currently on other rosters that Garett's keeping an eye on in case they get cut?

90 dudes in camp?

90-53 = 37. You could pretty much field a game day roster with that, if a few starters played special teams a la High School.

Yeah I think they have their eye on a couple of players from other squads.

I am about 95% sure Igor is going to be our "surprise" cut, so look at DE as where they might look. DB for sure.

53, the change in rosters this year is 45 to 46 on game day and 3rd string QB is not a hidden extra. If he's inactive, he cannot play at all.

Thanks Hos!

With Igor's recent demotion I don't know how much a "surprise" this cut will be. I'm hoping they can trade him for something - anything.

But a DB? Now that's intriguing. do you think this is because the injury to Newman is worse than they're saying? If not, is it because Jenkins is not cutting it? I can't think of others because we already have 2 free agent safeties, and they seem to like Scandrick and Ball at CB.

Which current or future free agent DB do you think they might go after?

What does that mean?
LOL

I hit 100,000 posts with that one and as I have been saying for a couple of years, I put my count back to 0.

I wonder why there is only 4 days between cut downs. down to 75 on tuesday august 30, and 4 days later on saturday down to 53. Maybe everyone has their final preseason game during that time?

The secondary is a logical point for an added player. Both of this year's starters at safety are here on a one year contract. Then there is the age with Terrence Newman being a factor. If someone isn't added through free agency, then it is possible that the secondary receives intensive scrutiny come next draft.

How did your post count go from 100,000 to 18? I was looking forward to seeing it hit 100K, then all of a sudden it reset  :)

Edit: Ok, you answered before, didn't look before I started typing -.-
