Creepy. Why do we dress kids up to look like adults and put them in adult positions? Isn't that what adults are for? I mean, I don't want to see a picture of adults playing in a sandbox. So, what's the difference?

Creepy. This photo was staged by adults. They dressed the kids and told them to kiss.

Spontaneous expressions of mutual affection are cute.

Exactly .. telling a little girl to go kiss a little boy and then filming the disgusted or surprised reaction from the boy would be priceless. Staging it is definitely on the creepy side ..

Creepy.

The photographer didn't think that one through at all. Hugging would have gotten the idea across, without the creepy factor.

Think they were going for the cute factor but just missed it.

As someone mentioned earlier...maybe a hug. Or a hug where he is lifting her in the air in celebration.

Then again I don't know if the idea of it is him getting ready to leave or just getting back. If he is leaving I guess the hug lifting her in the air would not work.

The guy will be in prison in a year or two for being a pedophile.

Hmm...

I know what the photographer was trying to do...copy a famous WWII picture, but with kids, so I don't think it was meant to be creepy. I guess it just didn't hit the mark as intended.

It's creepy, but I would like to know the circumstances. IF someone just staged it with no purpose other than to take the photograph, it's damn creepy. If the kids were in some kind of play or production, then maybe it's a little more explainable, although I still think it's going too far considering the age of the kids.

Creepy. What are the ages of those children? Four? Maybe five? The visual implication would be offensive to most (if not all) cultures' social norms around the world.

The artist should have shot for a visual depicting 'old' children or young adolescents instead--maybe in the 12- to 14-year old age bracket at minimum. That's marrying age in some cultures. And here in the U.S., it would be seen as something akin to youthful petting.

Wonder what other kinds of images does this photographer believe are artistically 'okay'?
