Actually, they were tied in all 16 games last year. If they had only been able to hold every team to 0 points, they would have won them all.....

It's really not that bleak. Dallas still had a good chance last year with this defense. Just needed to put offensive points on the board series by series. and not allow pick sixes and special teams errors.

Teams will play us differently this year with Romo putting up points. Last year teams just played so conservatively because they knew we couldn't score much. That's why stats have to be viewed in context.

As far as the Cowboys impressively overcoming their defensive woes this year, I suppose anything is possible but I probably wouldn't bet on it. Realistically speaking, if they somehow managed to simply achieve a middle-of-the-pack status, I'd pretty much be tickled pink. Baby steps . . .

Vegas has us at 9 games over/under right now and the rest of the division is at 7.5.

I said lately 11 seemed a good number but I don't take it seriously. We're a 9-14 game team AFAIC with 10-11 seeming realistic.
