Yeah its all because Anchorage just has poor cyclist and lack of biker safety.

The facts I said bikers here ride like idiots? Those facts?

I started riding my old Fuji hybrid bike again late last spring. I mostly ride on the street and concrete trails now, so I changed out the offroad tires for street tires. As a kid, I used to ride my bike everywhere, and had a great time riding. I didn't realize how much I missed it til I got back on one. Since I've been riding, I have lost weight, and it has helped my blood pressure, so I appreciate those benefits from riding.

I have noticed that there are a lot of new trials around Dallas/Ft. Worth, and some of the existing trails have been extended. Once my bike is tuned up, and I get my truck back from the shop (transmission replaced), I'm going to hit the trails this fall. Also, the train station is about 2 miles from my house, so I may actually commute to work when the weather is cooler.

Also, I found my old mongoose out in the garage a few months back, or what was left of it (frame, crank, and handlebars). I plan to restore and ride it too. I would also like to buy/build a fixed gear road bike to ride around the neighborhood. Here is my current bike. Post pics of your bikes if you have them. :)

Ya know... it's not the impact that bothers us so much, but the machine that grabs us by the helmet & sets us up again.

LOL...

I got into this sport a little over a year ago. Started by riding around white rock lake with a piece of junk walmart mountain bike I had. I quickly purchased a used road bike on craigslist, then upgraded the frame to a carbon frame you see on ebay.

I don't have quite as much time to ride now, but I still enjoy it alot.

But I fully confess I used to get aggravated by cyclists on the street before I started to ride.
