Hah you can’t compare those 2 departments. TB has proven they know what they are doing. The Yankees on the other hand have proven that their model is broken. I am looking at Aaron Hicks now. 9 wins only is a possibility , especially if Dak folds against teams with a pressing defense. Some weak teams in the division have gotten better . the old days of the weak NFC east may be gone.

I think she’s smart however I don’t agree with her analysis. I appreciate the effort that went into the system she has, and I’m sure she takes into account some of the variables such as the question asked to McDermott. However, I struggle to see how a team that improved its roster will somehow lose 3-4 games more this year compared to last. How is there like a 1 game difference between the prediction and ceiling.

My entire point earlier after reading some of the response attacking her knowledge and smarts just wasn’t called for. I wasn’t pointing fingers just an observation and a suggestion to do better.

Personally, I think this is a 12-13 win team. It has the talent. Sunday can’t get here fast enough.

So is she using injuries as a variable? If so is she applying a % of likelihood player A for instance might sustain? Does it also account for how many games player A misses? What variables before a single game has been played does she use?

To be honest, I think she's smoking crack. I can buy that the Cowboys might not be 12-5. What I consider a huge reach is the Cowboys not making the playoffs.

Consider what would have to happen for the Cowboys to not make the playoffs. First, they'd have to come in 3rd in the division. Then have three other wildcards beat them out. Who would that be? Lets do this hypothetical.

Giants take the first WC. Either Detroit or Minnesota take the second. Either Seattle or the 49ers take the 3rd. I'm not just saying this as a Cowboys fan. But this isn't going to happen. It's a huge longshot for the Cowboys to miss the playoffs entirely.

8 or 9 win predictions come across as clickbait. Or trolling. Either are kind of dumb is you pay any attention to the off-season whatsoever. It's not like there are major signs of regression, just the opposite. Some absolute stud additions and retentions make me believe this is just a better team, top to bottom. Defensively as a whole, I'm not sure there's an argument.
