They got lucky when Philadelphia bailed them out with the extra 3rd.
Rest of the draft the FO failed miserably.
Normally I don’t disagree with letting the draft come to you. However, you don’t do that when you have 11 picks in the draft and you know not all 11 will make this team.
This was the draft FO needed to be proactive instead of reactive. As soon as a player they wanted gets within striking distance they needed to trade up a few spots to ensure they get their targeted player! That would be classic Jimmy Johnson. Watching a run of DBs getting picked off at 44 was unbearable. Then a run of DL right in front of 75.
FO was like a deer in headlight.
Many here already said.... quality over quantity. This was the draft FO had the capital to pick their players.

What a fricking show. Reminds me of why they picked Taco.

Sad thing is we didn't even get bailed out with that Philly 3rd. None of those guys look like they will stick

Completely wasted that pick. Pathetic!
Could have traded all 3 3rd rounders to get to top of 2nd round or end of 1st and picked any of the DB we wanted.

I just don't think they know what they are doing (any of them) when it comes to analyzing defense. Their scouts are bad, their intuition about players is opposite of what it should be. We will probably not have a decent defense until someone is running the coaxing staff that is pure defensive minded. McCarthy is not that guy at all.
