D Law is legit

AS ALWAYS PLAYS a few games, goes out, gets mentioned by fans he needs to be traded, always hurt, makes too much money, we have Micah, he comes back, makes great plays, we realize how much we needed him, goes cold in a big game, same thing happens next season

He always plays at a high level and gives top-level effort. When people complain about him, just remember that it tells you way more about them than it does about him.

No because the truth hurts

I said this last week in the thread bashing him.

He’s no longer the main focus for teams and he is going to destroy in his current role.

He’s just warming up too.

Is he overpaid? Probably. But he’s awesome to have right now.

The fact he can play inside and outside is nice too.

He deserved the criticism. He was not playing this well. He has fresh legs late in the NFL season! We will see if it can continue. He is coming in on the momentum created by others not his hot boys crap he tried to start!

I wish I had the energy to go back and find who the posters were that wanted him cut when we cut Jaylon that week. I remember a lot of "Now cut Lawrence" "Lawrence is garbage and can't rush the passer" posts. Those people better hope I never get the energy because it would be slaying time.

He's faced a lot of criticism here for not living up to his contract, but dang that Dude is Legit!
He pops on the TV as an imposing figure and has been wrecking it since his return.
We're lucky to have him.
I am pleasantly surprised by his play. I think he has always had the ability, I just don’t think he has been very motivated since he got paid. He has certainly not earned his contract.

It’s a fact that he is playing some pretty good football tight now. It is also a fact that he has pretty much been dead weight at times since he signed his contract.

I would be more willing to give him the benefit of the doubt if he plays at a high level for the rest of the year and shows up consistently making plays, including the playoffs. I will be more apt to draw the conclusion that this was just a blip on the radar screen if he fades back into obscurity after a few games.

He was playing well. Casual fans that only look at sack totals will not understand, though.
I rarely look at stats and he did not play well last year. He has character issues - he does not have much of it!

So glad to see him returning to form. The past few seasons the Cowboys have been solely reliant on Tank to generate any pass rush and it's nice to see him get to eat with some competent (and elite) play around him. I really hope we can keep 90, 94, and 11 together for a few more seasons. Gallimore has been great too, I was worried about him starting slow but he's played well.

Problem with Lawrence is he needs to do it all the time now because Gregory and Parsons are going to free him up. He also needs to stay on the field. The contract makes his bar high. Fair or not.
