This is counting all plays except pre-snap penalties. I think the Giants official play total was 59, but I'm basing this on 63 plays counting post-snap penalties.
DE's
Mincey.......44 (All at RDE)
Selvie.........33 (7 of his snaps were at RDE, the rest at LDE)
Spencer......31 (All at LDE)
L. Edwards..16 (5 at LDE, 16 at RDE, all snaps in 2nd half)
DT's
Crawford.....43
Melton.........32
Hayden........31
McClain.......20 (15 of his snaps in 2nd half)
Once again the 3rd down combo at tackle was Crawford and Melton. They were in together for 10 of 13 3rd down snaps.
Both Melton and McClains snaps were up this game. McClains snaps doubled from last week, with the increase all coming in the 2nd half.
Crawford and Mincey as usual were the workhorses. I think I said this last week, but for an undersized 3-tech, Crawford is really effective as a run defender as well as being the most disruptive rushman on the team.
As many others have pointed out, this is by far the best McClain has looked. He showed burst, power and some quickness. Big difference vs last week.
I wasn't watching the linebackers too closely, but the Cowboys spent almost the entire game in nickel, with two linebackers and an extra defensive back. They put an extra linebacker in on short yardage situations, but I never saw 3 lb's in the base d all day.
