Hatcher been quiet as of late......??

Tank, Ratliff, Fergie.................be interesting to see how this plays out.....

....Gotta believe Tank and Rat have ability to move out to DE in the 3-4, heck Rat probably as mobile as Ellis ....putting pressure on Spears/Canty

Seeing Bowens in the backfield alot, he is a big body fellow...a keeper, Wade must like what he sees there

Spears/Canty tough against the run....which isn't all bad........ask San Diego

Rotation and special packages keeping the unit fresh....Wade not gonna let em' wear down as they did in Pats game again

OL and DL.....game still won in the pits

I am disapointed in Hatcher. Early in the season he seemed to be making a run at beating out Spears. has been very quiet the last few games.

The whole DL is playing well due to the depth.

No reason to bench Canty or Spears because Hatcher gets more sacks. Hatcher is great as a pass rushing DE. Why let him wear down against the run on 1st and 2nd down? Canty and Spears are playing great as 3-4 DEs. Of course, everyone wants to see some pass rush, who wouldn't, but their ability to attach and hold up the line is what is helping Ware get around the edge and put pressure.

What we sorely need is a push up the middle. A true 3-4 NT and I bet Ware has double digit sacks already. I like Ratliff and hopefully Tank is a good spell, but we could use a early down push.

Seems Like Wade can do with D. Lineman as Denver seems to be able to do with RB's

Plug em' in, adapt to thier strength and go with em'

Question....Could've Carp covered Shockey? Its his strength

Fergy won't be back next year. We'll go with Ratliff, Tank and you can add Remi if we go 3 deep there.

I was thinking the same thing, what happened to him? Is he playing injured? He looked good late last year and earlier this season but seems to have disappeared lately.

Spears has also had a sub-par season considering what he was saying after Parcells left. He had a very good game against the patriots but otherwise he has been pretty much invisible. I was very excited to get him in the draft but he has yet to live up to expectations, or even come anywhere close to them.

I hate to say it but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see us go after yet another DE in the first round next year.

That would surprise me -- the last 2 years of Ferguson's deal are for reasonable cap #s - if we cut him, we wouldn't save a ton of money - so it comes down to whether it is worth having him here for the 1 million or so that we could save on the cap. Given how good he can be, I'd say he's staying.

Yeah, and it's not like it was an ACL or something.

The thing here is that we've been looking for someone to play NT in running situations - Ratliff and Tank are good at that but neither are great run stoppers - they both can be effective but are not every down NTs - Ferguson is perfect for that role.

Next year, I expect to see Ratliff start in place of Spears and for Tank to take more of the passing down snaps at DT.

I am pretty happy with our defense. The best thing is that they are almost the same age group. I agree Fergy might not be back if Tank pans out.

Add a stud CB through draft and we will be set.

Only bad thing is that since they are all in that same age group, they'll all become FA's within a year or two of eachother.

Whom do we keep?
