Interesting the Campbell is below Hasselbeck and Bulger. I wouldn't have guessed that.

Great post.

Campbell isn't nearly as bad as he is made out to be.

IIRC, he hasn't had the same OC or offensive system in consecutive years since high school.

No joke, he just hit the unlucky jackpot. At Auburn, it was made up for. In DC, it was a handicap.

If he was given the chance to develop, I think he could be a damn good backup or respectable starter.

Vick may have only been half-sacked by Ware but Ware's interception, stiff arm and then touchdown had to be the most humiliating play for any quarterback to experience.

He sucks. Has little pocket presence, his anticipation is too inconsistent and so his deep pass accuracy. He's just generally good at not throwing INT's, but he still turns the ball over with fumbles too much. But part of the low INT rate is due to his bad anticipation and he checks it down so much.

I think he had some talent, but Gibbs did a poor job of developing him, thinking that he would be like the other QB's he had that could pick up the system easily. Then they changed to Al Saunders, which is a very complex system. Zorn the 'QB guru' tried to make him into a Matt Hasselbeck clone when his body profile said he needed to be more like Peyton Manning.

He probably would've worked best with a Parcells type of coach....keeping the offense the same....letting him learn...running the ball and working on not taking sacks and not making impulse throws. It's funny how Commanders fans talk about Gibbs winning 3 Super Bowls with 3 different QBs, but neglecting that Parcells won 2 with 2 different QB's and went to a 3rd SB with a 3rd different QB. IMO, if I needed a guy to develop a franchise QB I'd take Parcells over Gibbs every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
