Dabo Sweeney. come on down

He's a Saban style talent/process coach. He's from Saban's coaching tree like Garrett.

Extremely effective in College. Unlikely to translate to the NFL.

He also is very unlikely to want to leave College. He's a god at Clemson. If he goes anywhere it's to Alabama, but even then it's unlikely. In Alabama he has to deal with its insane, unforgiving fanbase that mostly hasn't set foot on a college campus for any other reason but to see a football game. He'd toil in the shadow of the Bear and Saban even if he succeeded.

So, no, I don't see him leave Clemson. He keeps going the way he does they'll put his name on the Stadium.

no thanks.

dabo swinney is a fantastic college coach and recruiter though.

He already makes as much money as an NFL Head coach, he’s a hero in the region he works in, he runs his own show without an overbearing egotistical GM/Owner lording over him, he doesn’t have to deal with prima donnas who make more money than he does, and he has much more job security than an NFL coach ....

So what would be his incentive to leave his current situation for Dallas?

Dabo reminds me of the actor that played the high school coach in the movie the blind side.

Watching clemson tonight he woukd be a great coach here in Dallas. I would love to see him as the Cowboys head coach. Go get him Jerry!

Just as long as he brings his defensive staff...and rolls w/ Kellen on offense. I'd do whatever I gotta do.. to go get their QB too....;)

I see him as a college football lifer. He will win a ton of championships at Clemson and then when he gets bored, he'll move to another blue blood school. The OC Tony Elliott though, he's an interesting one. Especially since his name was mentioned in the initial reports of coaches the Cowboys would be interested in

I would rather have Clemson OC Tony Elliott as HC. Hire Elliott as the HC and if the team stinks his first year, no big deal because the consolation prize would be QB Trevor Lawrence.

I have been saying for the past several weeks that Clemson OC would be my top choice as HC. Florida HC Dan Mullen would be my second choice.

Dabo is a CEO type, not an X and O type coach. He'd put together a great staff, but he has never called plays. Tony Elliott is really good but has no head coaching experience and I would like too see him as one or at least an NFL coordinator first.

Dabo reminds me of Bobby Bowden. In that he's the front man and who has a great x and o staff to back him up. You're right about the CEO type, he embraces that Bowden like folk hero bunker mentality(team =family). Wouldn't shock me to see him be a Clemson lifer in the day in age of everyone doing the Larry Brown style team hopping. It's going to be several years before my Noles actually beat Clemson again. The rivalry has completely turned.
