Dak’s third down rating

Because we know this is some computerized bs made up by non athletic nerds who love to pretend to be smart and knowledgeable when it comes to football. At the end of the day those who are competitive athletes know that only wins & losses, tds/interceptions matter. We don’t need scientific data to tell us about a player or a team.
This is bs at its finest. 4 games in and they think they know how the season will wind up being.
Personally I hate fantasy football because this is the type of crap it creates. There is no formula for determining winners or losers. Which is WHY THEY PLAY THE GAME!!!!
How is giving percentages on dropped passes, third down conversions, etc. made up?

Hello my salivating happy pappydog.

What I've done is posted stats on 3rd down, out of pocket qb ratings, Oline ratings, dropped pass ratings to let people see the info and interpret it

Nah not salivating actually Sad really as the talent and potential we have is being wasted with inept Dak at the helm....

118 QBR against the Lions. Inept? Only for poster child haters like yourself.

I’m just messing with you.
Let’s look at things on the good side
  • The Oline seems functional and can be great again w Frederick. When I mean great, i mean top 5
  • Run blocking is awesome
  • The receivers are actually catching most of what’s thrown their way
  • Tyron’s demise has been exaggerated. He may not be the best LT but he’s still a top one

Hold on.

I want to hear all these reasons the others are wrong or exaggerated. So the passer rating for Prescott on 3rd down is inaccurate, for example?
Because a LOT of the third downs have been giveup screens or dropped passes.

How is that?

I think the problem is, you want to credit guys for a drop when it's not a drop.
Maybe. or a defender influenced the drop.

Has to be the reason...a different definition of drop.

We are 1 QB,S,DT,LB, away from the playoffs and possible Superbowl.......QB being the most important cog.....

A lot of that has to do with scheme. But Dak needs to improve himself as well

I’m hoping this will improve after a few more games!
We shall see, got my fingers crossed

Can we get Adam to do some stat mining to come up with something like "Dak is the most accurate 3rd down passer on plays of less than four yards and when the QB is carrying a rating between 94.7-94.9 into the 4th QTR?"

As a fan I am past the point of arguing what Dak is or isn't. I will continue to cheer for him because he is the Cowboys quarterback, but should he fail to live up to expectations I will cheer for the organization to replace him in a heartbeat.:)
Totally agree with you. I will support Dak but he needs to improve. If he can not then someone else needs to be there who can.
