Dak is the Godfather of this team helping his teammates from small things like celebration fines to big things like setting up their careers for big money contracts in Shultz, Pollard, CD, Steele etc.

The organization should be paying extra fee to Dak for the additional services he provides to the Cowboys.

10-0 vs Giants, reaching standards Roger Staubach set.
Heart of a champion!

He's 10-2 versus the Giants in reality.

Until he starts having playoff success he is not reaching anything Staubach set. I mean who thinks a winning record versus the Giants is the epitome of what Staubach was able to accomplish? Quincy Carter was 4-1 against the Giants, should we celebrate him?

Oh, and his contract is for $100 million more than anyone else on the team, he can afford it. But I guess its time to start meeting your dumb thread quota again, so carry on I suppose.

Damn! All some of you worry about is his money. Lol!! Like any of you wouldn't take it, if offered....envy is a deadly sin, and don't give me that salary cap thing. He's not the only one getting that kind of money. I guess they all play for dumb front offices....

If the OP should be taken seriously (and this is a slight directed at the OP and not Prescott), it would be appropriate for me to edit the beginning of the thread title as 'Dak "The Grifter"'.

Why would any organization pay an exorbitantly highly compensated employee extra income? Wouldn't the expectation be that the organization pay something like celebration fines, instead of "reimbursing" an employee who voluntarily pays the fines at an insignificant cost to his bottom line?

OP muddied the issue by asking for “extra fee.” The main point is that Dak acts like a leader who has the benefit of his teammates in mind. That builds team camaraderie, which is an essential element of being a championship team. No guarantees, but Dak is doing the little things to help build the team. (The Cowboys are ALREADY paying him the “extra fee” for this, but at least he is delivering. LOL)

The Cowboys’ offense is the highest scoring in the NFL since he returned from injury. Combine that with the top pass rushing defense in the NFL, and you get a team set up to win in the postseason. If the offense can get a lead with the highest scoring team in the NFL since Dak has returned, then the Cowboys have built a defense that can hold that lead. It is a symbiotic relationship between the offense and the defense. The Cowboys still have weaknesses, but they are as well positioned as any team to become champions this season. Now they just need to execute - and that includes the coaches.

Dak is helping 3rd & 4th rounder offensive weapon elevate their production to 1st rounder status. Jerry & Stephen better not bring up Dak’s contract as an issue for signing FAs or extending current players.

Good grief. The LAST thing I want is defending Narcissist and DNA Kid #1. However, it is illogical to assume any general manager and chief operating office, both of whom oversee their franchise's salary cap, to dismiss a notable dedication OF the salary cap when conversing about acquiring or retaining players. Below are Prescott's annual non-voidable salary cap hits per Spotrac.com:
  • 2022 - 08.96%
  • 2023 - 21.79%
  • 2024 - 22.65%
Admittedly, the league's salary cap will not stagnant over the next couple of years. It will increase, just as it has in the past. However, any expected increase will not magically decrease Prescott's cap hit anywhere close to the degree where Jerry Jones or Stephen Jones will NOT talk about his salary--especially not over any perceived exceptions for acts of goodwill.

You keep living in the world of make believe. Others may opt to anticipate something as consequential as a notable cap hit affecting player acquisition and retention WILL come up in the Jones' public conversations.
