Dak - a balanced thread

I understand. People can and do change but y'all think they can't. I guess that's why the world will always be like it is because people don't believe those who have done certain wrongs like in this case can ever change. Y'all all are entitled to your pov and I can't change it but wish yall would be more open. If you can't I don't agree but understand from your pov

I will be about as open as I can be , Its bad enough when these people fight there own dogs but they go around and steal peoples house pets and use them as bait for there fighting dogs .

Kind of like someone kidnapping a member of your family and having them literally ripped apart . I would like to see how much compassion and forgiveness you would have after finding the mutilated body of your dog in the back yard of an abandoned house where they fought and trained there dogs . It leaves a lasting impression that no amount of sorry fixes

Yes people can change. I actually believe that as well. People truly changing the core of their character though is VERY rare. Which is why its easy to be sceptical from the outside.

Maybe its more of a question of forgiveness? Clearly you are willing to forgive him. My question now is how far does your forgiveness go? If someone raped or molested a loved one, but then "changed" would you have the capacity to forgive them? Could that person still be considered "a good person" after committing such inhumane and intolerable acts?
I can always forgive but never forget even something wild like that. I'm not saying it would happen overnight but in due time yes. I speak from experience from a similar experience. I personally don't want to live my life filled with anger. Probably wouldn't think they are a good person but the case you've mentioned imo is different in emotional feeling. The dogs y'all had no connection to as opposed to an actual family member going through that. I get your point but still different because of closeness to me.

My compassion and yours are different because I've had worse happen and still forgave the person. We are all different. Be how you are on this issue I'm not trying to change you I just disagree. You think certain things can't be changed/forgiven I disagree. Guess we will just have to agree to disagree.

Let's stop the fan boy nonsense. This is the Dallas Cowboys. Some of you are just too young to know what that used to mean.

QB is the premier position in all of sports. The Dallas Cowboys are supposed to be the premier franchise in football. The fact that the Cowboys would now look for a new franchise QB and settle on a stiff like Dak Prescott should sicken anyone with an ounce of credibility as a fan. All I read over and over is what he can't do and how that's okay we can work around that. What the hell kind of plan is that for the Dallas Cowboys in search of their franchise QB? That's Cincinnati Bengals thinking. I don't want a guy who can't do things. I don't want to settle at the position. That shouldn't be plan A. I want a real talent who allows you to get by at other positions not other positions allowing them to get by at his own. I don't want a college offense. I want a real QB who can play real pro football.

We are already saddled with the worst Owner and GM in sports, a complete fraud at Director of Personnel and a weak Head Coach. The thought of being okay with adding a mediocre at best QB to that mix is baffling to me.

Why? Just cause Go Cowboys! and stuff?

You are supporting a QB who can't throw the football.

I repeat - You are supporting a QB who can't throw the football.

If for whatever reason Dak Prescott is on your roster and your starter goes down, then you look to get by and tailor a gimmick offense around him and his lack of any talent. Then it makes sense to read the things I read about him every day. Well, they just mean until our starter gets back. But to watch him play for three years and think this is the guy you want under center for the next 10 years as the future of our offense is an opinion I just can't take seriously.

A QB who can't throw the football.

The Dallas bleepin Cowboys.

Thank God Tom Landry isn't around to see this.
This is an epic post. Most of these fans will settle for anything. I sure was different years ago.

I don't see anyone on the roster to challenge him . Do we use resources to get someone in FA if so who?? Or is that money better spent on a NT, Safety or TE

My money says Jerry is happy with Dak and invests in the roster to help him rather than waste money trying to challenge him.
My original post was to point out that I'm looking for some compitition from next years draft

I respect your ability to forgive for I know it must be difficult as I am just not capable to do it .

Ok so you think we should use our 2nd rd pick on a QB . I can think of other positions that I think need more attention but I can respect that as a plan if you are dissatisfied with Dak .

Im betting the farm on Jerry drafting help for Dak rather than competition because I believe he is determined to see Dak succeed , That's just my opinion we will see how it plays out .

Yep and you and Risen will settle for what ever scraps Jerry throws us because you have no choice . You can all whine and complain makes zero difference Jerry has his mind set and nobody on this glorified Gossip Column has a speck of influence over any decision he makes .

You could get really really mad and go support another team where the owner will change QBs when ever you ask

I didn't even realize he did that. You're certain he kidnapped other people's dogs? If so, he's even worse than I thought.

If this were just a freak occurrence, where he instantly regretted his actions, I could forgive him. But that's not the case. It takes a heartless person to do what he did. It's the type of behavior not far off from a sociopath.

Romo being Romo. This play was actually bigger than was it a catch by Dez. Cowboys had an opportunity to go up 21-7 @ half, but Romo blew it... being Romo
