Twitter: Dak against playoff teams

It's too difficult a concept for some to grasp. You can go three for three & some metrics look great but you are still punting.
Most metrics account for things like this. Going 3 for 3 for 3 yards would hurt your passer rating as opposed to going 1 for 3 and 60 yards…

As I recall, you were one of the first to start throwing out labels like this. Just trying to speak in a language some of you seem to prefer.
Yeah I’m walking around calling people “truth haters” and “slobberers”….haters? Yes. But most of these terms have been used to describe the Dak fans on this site lol.

Could be wrong but I’m pretty sure those are regular season stats. I’d imagine guys like Mahomes would have much more games than Dak and Burrow who have been hurt.
Well he does have 37. Over 5 years that's 7.4 games per season. Seems awful high for regular season when his division wasn't that strong in some of those years.

Goff leads with 38. Just doesn't seem consistent with regular season only.

Dak, Dak, Dak. So only Dak has poor starts to playoff games. It’s all Dak’s fault. Jeez, you people need to go to church or something.
Yeah it has nothing to do with the game plans coaching strategies play calling and then we can start on the offensive line the run game the supporting cast as far as who's getting open are they getting open quick enough are they running running the right routes are they dropping passes or they creating interceptions and fumbles is the defense playing well no that's usually not the case prescott since 2016 has had three and I'm not sure any other quarterback that I can remember her team can say they had three defenses That word labeled historically bad,

The fact is Zimmer and Iberflood is back to back in recent losing seasons were our defensive coordinators on what was called bad defenses and yet somehow these records that they keep bringing up whether it's in the playoffs or against playoff teams or just in general against above 500 teams it's funny how the first thing they do is label the quarterbacks and sometimes the head coaches with these records Why aren't these records attached to anybody else around the NFL like you know when they're giving two first round picks for a pass rusher who hasn't done anything in the playoffs Guys like TJ Watt Matt Crosby I mean even Miles Garrett that could change 0 that's right he had to change teams just like Matthew Stafford he ran over to the Rams so he can make his record look better..

I find it ironic and concerning that the fan base whenever they want great players they don't sit and breakdown their playoff records and how much they get paid and they want them really bad on their team even though they were part of bad teams and bad defenses Same with offensive lineman and running backs I mean they seem to be off the hook for records and I understand why but it's still not right this is a team game and the records are attached to whatever team played that year the entire roster the front office and the coaching staff for that particular season..

Does not carry over.. Always had a problem with it it triggers me i'm tired of hearing about the quarterback record or the head coaches record when nobody talks about the rest of the staff Yes the rest of the coaching staff that's also their record the entire roster including guys that contributed or didn't contribute from the practice squad they all had a hand in the bad season with the bad record or the bad game there is a lot more factors than just looking at the quarterback...

It's tiresome then when somebody comes in and tries to say something positive about your quarterback they immediately rollback to this stupid playoff record or records against teams above 500 or playoff teams and they hang it over the neck of the quarterback without really bringing in what happened in those games game by game play by play there were more factors and layers long before you get to the quarterbacks as an excuse for losing those games..

Like the penalty game I mean if we want to talk about the San Francisco game II was gonna bring up this one point The offensive line had 11 penalties the run game was under two yards per carry There was number time to throw It was one dimensional and I don't care what the score looked like low scoring game it was close Blah blah blah there were fourteen penalties that game when you have 11 on the offensive line your offense will never look good it will never work And yet hey that must have been Prescott making mistakes or really that game is why we lost.

Prescott in a desperate situation not his play call that he didn't get ball set right or didn't put it down correctly that was the reason we lost that game is it is it really did we need to have one more opportunity for the rest of the team to suck!

it isn't accounted for in completions, completion % & yards though. those stats can look sterling when they really represent abject failure.

Dak hate is insanely overblown and just dumb altogether but there is little reason to separate QB performances by versus playoff teams instead of versus top 15 or 10 or whatever defenses or at least just playoff games.

Part of why Dak has good numbers versus playoff teams is the defense gives up 40 points a game a lot and we face a lot of soft defenses in 2nd halves.

Dak's playoff EPA for his career is 9th during that period. It places him between Russell Wilson and Ben R.
He is a solid QB that you very much can win with, but he isn't dragging randos to the SB like peak Brady, Rodgers or Mahomes.
Well said.

Dak does play VERY WELL in garbage time. Cowboys down by 20 because of numerous 3 and outs and maybe a pick 6 or two? No problem, here comes Dakster against the prevent and all of a sudden he's up to a 99 on a meaningless "QB scale". Yea! Dak had a great game!
