Dak ain’t the guy

There’s 13 active starting QB’s who got their teams to conference championship games as starting QB’s…

7 of them are Flacco, Rodgers, Wilson, Tannehill, Stafford, Keenum, and Jimmy G. Whether it’s age or rapid decline, none of those are viable options moving forward (maybe could make an argument Stafford)

The other 6 are Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Goff, Hurts and Purdy.

I think most fans have a wildly distorted view of the QB position in the NFL. At any given time there are maybe 5 human beings walking the earth that you could say “this guy playing QB gives us a great chance of going to the Super Bowl.”

Now I’m not saying Dak is 1 of them, but you also have to be realistic about the alternatives.
That's a reasonable take. Where you and I probably part ways is, your last paragraph

I'm in the camp that, if we can't say with definitive certainty after 8 years that Dak IS a guy you can ride that far, then why in the world would we want to restructure him with a massive extension for another 4-5 years?

We know what we've got and if we're not sure at this point that he's the guy then it's time to move on IMO

I just hope we don't lose too many of the guys who are carrying dak next year when he grabs the biggest slice of the pie.

I wonder if Will can find some superstars in the draft to carry Trent next year.

Bro, Romo hasn’t played here for 8 years you gotta stop blaming him for everything. Come on, AC.
He's already exhausted all other excuses. Two OCs, a litany of receivers, the o line, a fired and current head coach, a defense that held the #1 offense to 10 points below their average, the refs, and on and on.

Romo is all he has left. He's flailing. Just stand back and watch the show. And have a laugh or two.

and I'm telling you you're wrong and I wholeheartedly disagree with your opinion which you're allowed to have opinions all I saw was a player without an offensive line with running backs doing dumb ship and then he gives them the lead and the defense as usual got walked down the field rather easily into field goal range to lose the game on a game-winning field goal that should have been that easy to get in field goal range the defense has been the biggest issue this year in all our losses not the quarterback if that's what you're seeing I guess you're missing the fact that the offensive line was getting shut back in the backfield all night and that the run game was inconsistent and at the goal line the players around Prescott failed he got them in gold to go and then the fullback fumbles the football and the play before that Pollard took the wrong route should have stretched the plane to the pylon the fumble would have never happened probably was a touchdown we probably win the game and then you go back to the all the other little pieces of the game that cost us those two points was the lack of the ref calling blatant holding on CD lamb getting this pants pulled off more armbar holds on Parsons and I could count literally letting them play like that and then you go back and call it oh

must be the quarterback

the haters are back we get it but you're gonna get called out and I'm telling you you're wrong you don't know what you're seeing you don't understand team football you might wanna go back and learn something before you come on here blasting players that were not part of the issue last night

this team continues to lose mostly because of the defense then the offensive line the lack of a run game and penalties that is not on the quarterback you might wanna learn something about football before discussing football and blaming it all on the quarterback

Dude’s writing novels without punctuation. This is murder on my dyslexia.

I bet Romo went to Cabo yesterday before the game.

Now list all the QBs who have taken their team further in the playoffs than Dak has since he joined the league. I'll wait...
Why is this something to be proud of? You think the 49ers are all excited because their teams made it to championship games and Super Bowls and lost? You think it makes them feel warm and fuzzy inside knowing they almost did it? lol The goal is to win Super Bowls…. Not make it to championship games and lose. It’s Super Bowl or bust in this league PERIOD. And only two guys playing this year have done that since Dak entered the league.

Posts like this should be pulled but it is amusing to see you, as always, revert to a teenage tantrum with a Romo obsession.
Pretty funny how I posted nearly this same thing last night and had my post deleted and the thread locked, leaving the final visible post as yet another AC 5 year old’s name calling tantrum. Funniest part was the mod pinned the post … as if to approve his belligerent behavior and show what happens shall it be questioned … it’s wild bc his tirades for sure turn people off.

He definitely seems to get away with it a lot. It's not a good look for the mods to play favorites

Let us know when you have the guy to replace him.
Does it matter who replaces him? 8 years later and y’all really still live in fear of “ who replaces him?”

Jerry done perfectly perfected thy brainwashing

Not winning a Super Bowl is not winning a Super Bowl … you “replace him” over and over until you find one who CAN win … it’s rare … but just like praying Garrett could get it done in year 10 was nothing more than a waste of 9 years …

you 10000% miss every chance you don’t take

Not only replace the quarterback but how about the reason why the quarterback can't do his thing because the offensive line is getting beat more than they're not they're not physical enough they're not creating enough holes for the run game and they're getting beat a lot with a four man line whenever a team can play zone it's still affect the game or the four man line then there's nobody getting open not in time before Prescott running for his life and trying to move and trying to also find an open guy it's just taking too long I don't think anybody here realizes how many time Prescott's pocket just gets crossed right at the snap I mean literally pushed into him and he asked to start moving and when he has to start moving he's trying to keep his eyes down the field but it's kinda hard to find an open guy when everyone is back in coverage playing zone I mean a lot of times that's seven guys covering three guys maybe 4 that's ridiculous that that's hard to function

all these dudes want to blame the quarterback and then you go back to last night all that mattered was when they scored that touchdown to make the score 20 to 19 it said OK defense go do your thing all we need is a stop and the defense once again got walked right in the field goal range they literally almost put up no resistance inside the 40s and the last five or six games they are the ones who are being walked down the field like it's a scrimmage and sometimes they can stop them from scoring touchdowns but when all they need is a field goal they can't stop anybody from getting in field goal range and that is a bad defense by the way let's open up the conversation to the quarterback they had a bad offensive line no run game questionable play calling referees definitely were not on their side but yeah it's the quarterback it must be the quarterback...

dude you're a straight up troll I bet you used to have another account here and decided to sign up under a new account so you can come over and troll again and be a dictator and try to disguise it as some kind of concerned fan and you're not a fan you're a hater you're a troll you signed up as a new member just so you can continue trolling without being exposed under your old name and even if that's not true you're brand new and all you have done is come in and be negative and try to stir up trouble that's what we call trolls hating on the quarterback who was not the reason we didn't win last night... So Mr. bus driver why don't you take your bus turn it around and go back to the team site that you belong to because it isn't this one...

FYI .. I stopped reading after “troll” … tell me you’re irrational without telling me you’re irrational … just look at the time of your (over)reaction and my post … zero seconds to even attempt to let that brain process … just another one of your slurred out, mumbo jumbo diarrhea of failed talk to text turd pots … no proof reading bc you’re so triggered …

who actually presses “post reply” on such gibberish? Take a breathe, angry one

You know you can say period and it will add a period? If you want people to read your novels help them out. Some of us with dyslexia find it very hard to read, I know you wouldn’t understand that, but it really helps.

Too bad it's not the 70's, we could get him a show with his own pet orangutan and they could drive an 18 wheeler from town to town watching the cowboys come up short, and then going off on a rant at anyone who thought the QB might be even partially responsible for a loss.

It would be must see TV
