Dak - 153..... at 29 years old and a half
Brady - 147.... at 29 years old and a half

Just saying.... it's possible. Not saying they're the same Quarterback, but it's possible Dak can take a stab at that record, and his current year isn't even over yet. He'll probably finish around 162-165 Touchdowns.

He needs a little over 300 (which is roughly double more to go) to crack the Top 15 considering a few other current QBs who might keep up his same pace.

If the hated Brady's Cheatriots played in this era of football, would brady touchdown count be lesser or greater?

What era? Are the defenses only allowed 10 players on the field at once or something?

The pass happy era was ushered in by the Rams in 1999. The greatest show on turf remember that... when they had three receivers over a thousand yards each.

Smells like a HOF career...if he plays until he's 44.

I swear to God, this is why I come here… This is why traffic stops for an accident… It’s all about morbid curiosity. People are always curious about “how bad can it be”. This thread is a great example of just how bad it can be…

I'd be willing to bet a lot of QBs, Prescott included, in the early 2000's with Belichick and that Patriots defense could win a SB. People always forget that Tom Brady did nothing real special in his first 2 SB titles..hell I'm sure you could argue more.

You talk as if there haven't been articles in the news in the past about how the NFL was changing rules to increase scoring, which came about after Brady was a proven superbowl winner and the way after the 1999 rams. Yes Romo and Brady played in a pass happy era, but there have been even more changes to the game since then to increase scoring.

The NFL did not make changes to increase scoring. Anybody who believes that is just... off their rocker. They made changes to protect the players. Was the horse collar rule put in place to increase scoring?

Quarterbacks in the early 00s were horrible. Look at the QBs the Ravens played in that 2000 year. Steve McNair and Troy Aikman were the only real good QBs they played all year and Aikman was even ready to call it a career at that point. That Ravens defense is still a goat defense and very few QBs could actually beat them. Vinny Testaverde came closest and nabbed 480 yards against them and still lost.

There's much more competition these days at the QB spot. A mid level QB today would be near the top in the early 00s.

I've tried searching for it, but I can't find, but several years ago there was an article about the NFL making rules changes because they wanted higher end game scores. But yeah there have been other changes made that have made it easier for the offense to rake up points including the ones to protect players. I think anyone is off their rocker to not think that there are more rules that benefit the offense today than when brady first started.

First I thought this thread had to be started by Dak Attack, it is so stupid.
I guess he has a rival now for most idiotic threads
