The play where Cobb dropped that easy first down where Dak stepped up in the pocket and threw a strike.

If Dak can do that more often, that is the difference maker from very good to Elite.

Honestly can't think of another step up and throw like that all year. Would love to see him do that more. If you can do that, then there is no limit to what you can do even if there is pressure.

I agree. As well as he has been playing, I still would like to see him step up in the pocket more to avoid pressure. That's how big plays are easily created. The back pedaling and spinning out to the left is not a recipe for continued success. Yes he escapes the pressure but he is another ten or more yards behind the LOS. And it also eliminates the entire right side of the field.

So are you finally on board?

Up to this year, I have always been on the fence with Dak. And while many on this board don't think so, that is the placement most fans should have had him. He has made huge strides with accuracy and timing of throws this year. I am off the fence for sure but if he wants to really take the next step, he has to do more of this.

Anyone expecting young QB's to come out of the gate playing like this is kidding themselves. Anyone that thought Dak wouldnt improve to this level was proven wrong.

LOL.......as if you have some kind of high standards that Dak has finally reached.

The truth is that you wouldnt know a good QB if you bumped into him.

Yeah cause hitting open receivers on time and actually hitting open receivers is a high standard!

But hey, what do I know.....

Daks pocket presence is amongst his best attributes..I don't think the OP has any clue what pocket presence is

It seems obvious that Dak is getting more confident and comfortable in the pocket nowadays. He's also finally learned to read defenses and go through his intended targets much more efficiently. Hopefully, he'll manage to cope with an intense Patriots pass rush and make some timely decisions. Hopefully, the OL will be able to allow him the necessary time to hit his targets accurately, as well.

This guy fancies himself as some type of guru on evaluating QB "eliteness". That's cute.

Its been obvious for a long time. Glad you finally showed up to the show. Your mistake was thinking that Dak would never get here and bashing those of us who saw the obvious when you didnt.

You are getting this narrative from the Dak trolls that he has finally gotten up to their standards. LOL
They give him a backhanded compliment that he is finally seeing what they want.

Which is completely laughable because all these trolls claimed he simply wasnt capable and would never get here. "Dak is a backup" was the laughable quotes only a year ago.

Dak has improved in a lot of areas
  • Reads defenses better...and quicker. That’s helped reduce sacks and move the chains
  • Better footwork and less unnecessary motion
  • Better release, but also more accurate with multiple release points
Hard work is paying dividends

Stepping up and stepping aside from the rush. Dak isn't great at this yet. He took the most sacks of any QB last year bc he back pedals too much. He's much better this year at getting the ball out earlier.

Like many here, I praised him when I thought he played well and expressed myself accordingly when he didn't. Not everyone sees him as a football God like you do, so there's probably that to consider, as well. Anyway, he's certainly come a long way this year and it's plain to see. You might be interested to know I have a jersey with his name on it. Does that really sound like some vicious critic to you? ;)

Reality dictates that my faith in Dak has been more than founded. :yourock::yourock::yourock:

Of course he is better at reading defenses. Most young QB's get better at those things.

But he also has the following:

-Great passing weapons
-Much better play from the Oline
-A REAL OC and a QB coach in Kitna

He’s been doing it all year where have you been.
