Possibly so . . . let's see if that faith continues unabated and undisturbed by this time next week! :flagwave:

I would be surprised if Dak or anything about our offense was great next week. I think you realize that as well. But I know the haters have been longing for this matchup all year long.

For me, the significance of what Dak did last week was how the defense took away Zeke and Cooper and Dak still threw for 400 yards and 3 TD's. Thats next level stuff. It also shows how many weapons we have in the passing game.

No doubt. My expectations are nothing overly demanding. Those QBs who survive the Patriots admirably are few and far between. If he somehow manages to extract some measure of respect, I'll be most appreciative. If not, I'll be honest with my opinions. I think he'll do well. He's learned to read defenses much better this year. That's a big step for any QB. It took Romo just as long to do that, so it's not an easy thing and just takes time.

That was not the first time Dak has stepped up in the pocket and thrown a strike this season.

That being said. Yes he is definitely improving in that regard. He is stepping up more or sliding around the pocket more, where previously he would frequently back up or try to escape out of the back of the pocket.

The big question for me is:

-Is Cooper playing and will he be healthy
-Are we going to lose anymore starters on the Oline for this game.

If we have all hands on deck, then we have a shot to pull something out.

Dak's pocket awareness was his #1 issue.

The more he begins to step up, the more effective he will become as a runner as well.

Cooper is an awfully dedicated and gutsy WR to play with the assortment of injuries he has had. Gallup and the rest of them like Witt and Cobb really did their part too. Dak is fortunate to have the corps of WRs that he does. I'm not expecting a win but a decent measure of competition would be much appreciated here. A win would have me turning cartwheels.

Not going to waste my time with trolls who apparently don’t even watch the games.
No problem but I have not missed a snap!

And since we don't have to back up our satements with film, I could find 10-20 plays where he tried to spin backwards out of the pocket for every one where he stepped up and out of the pocket like that throw yesterday!

If he sees someone open, he’ll step up and throw.

If he doesn’t see someone open, he’ll try to buy time.

The play where Cobb dropped that easy first down where Dak stepped up in the pocket and threw a strike.

If Dak can do that more often, that is the difference maker from very good to Elite.

Honestly can't think of another step up and throw like that all year. Would love to see him do that more. If you can do that, then there is no limit to what you can do even if there is pressure.
Yesterday he could have eaten a three-course meal back there every play.

This weekend won't be like that. He'll get pressure from all angles.

Anxious to see how he handles it

Yep, there was one time yesterday that he had so long in the pocket, that he got out just because he felt he had been there to long - nobody was even remotely close to him after 6-7 seconds I think.
