This is no different than the way things were decades ago. In the heat of battle it's not all roses and perfume. You would have to be totally naive to believe there aren't any personality conflicts that exist on a team of 50 or more proud athletes.

The greatest difference is the number of media that are stalking these player's every move, hoping to find any little thing to bend out of proportion and create a controversial headline.

Journalism today isn't built on honest reporting. Truth is no longer an annoying inconvenience. The meanings of words have been watered down by changes in their definitions to the point where ambiguity is now a tool of their trade.

This is a joke right? It has to be right? The problem is sometimes it is hard to tell with people but this has to be a parody... right?

If a leader needed someone to have their back then they wouldn't be leaders.

Leaders are referred to as "charasmatic" and "innovation" and "inspiring" after the fact, when they have already succeeded in leading to success. During the actual journey to success, they are often unappreciated, disrespected, and even disliked. They have few friends when they are actually leading.

Why is this? Because a true leader, by their actions, will force those around them to work harder than they were originally willing to do.

Before Tom Landry's Cowboys won their first Super Bowl, they used to make fun of him, calling him "Coach Slide Rule" for demanding precision in the plays he designed.
