4th quarter would have to be 25 minutes long instead of 15 for that to happen, he needs that much time because the offense does nothing the rest of the game

That's the crux of the matter. That's 6 possessions without an answer. Obviously the defense is the main part of that number, but the offense did their part, too.

The Browns were shutting down those slants with a robber safety and their LBs on the almost picks. When they got up big they backed off- two deep with the LBs and corners playing zone 10 yards downfield, basic, "let them chew clock with underneath stuff." Not every QB can get the ball downfield against that look and I'll credit Dak for being aggressive and getting some big plays like the pass to Schultz.

But it worried me that after those initial big plays by DAL the Browns seemingly had a pretty good plan to shut down the passing game. Zeke's disappearance in this offense is troubling, as well as his mistakes, so he's not off the hook nor the staff for using up-tempo offense exposing this defense to more plays.

Dak is better than he used to be. I'll give him credit and don't hate the guy. But these huge numbers don't have me thinking he's Marino. The greater context is they've fallen behind big, which is at least 75% the fault of the worst defense in history, but the offense has to have an answer and can't afford to watch a lead grow to a 5 possession deficit.
