Dak comparisons

What QB do you think Dak is Dak most similar to currently playing in the NFL? He seems a lot like Tyrod Taylor to me in terms of his play. Not a ton of yards. Good TD to int ratio. Maybe slightly less athletic than Taylor. Slightly better decision making skills than tyrod.

Some may say Alex Smith, which I could also see, but Alex Smith is probably sees the field better and is probably currently a better QB overall than Dak.

What were Alex Smith's contract numbers? That's probably in the neighborhood of what Dak will get. Tyrod is probably a bargain and Smith is probably overpaid. I would rather see Dak's contract numbers fall between the two.

Alex smith is the best comparison imo. Similar playstyles and strengths/weaknesses. I’ve made this observation in other threads.

Of course others will only compare DP to other black quarterbacks because.. reasons.

Lol you’re comparing a Alex Smith Who developed those traits to a 3rd year QB that is finding his strengths. Dak’s Pay day will be around Carr’s #’s at the very least.

Much better player and passer than Tyrod. That's not really a close comparison.

Yeah 2nd year Dak play was similiar to Smith's 13th year in the league. When accounting for years played and learning curve Dak is obviously much better.

His TD to int ratio was only average last year....and Taylor is a better runner.
Dak is sturdier though, and a bit taller.

I only see the Alex Smith comps from Smith’s earlier years. Both conservative. But at least at this stage, I think Smith is more accurate and intuitive.
Still early for Dak though
And a lot of Dak’s plusses are more intangible

Right now, he reminds me of a more mobile Elvis Grbac or Josh Freeman.

Blake Bortles a little, alex smith early days maybe..right now smiths a better QB added to his game etc I havent watched Taylor a lot but I think hes run first guy and hucks the long ball a lot kind of like Vince so not sure that great comparison..

no FN way Bro..Air Mcnair Was black but thats about it on comparisons..that dude could throw with the best of them..his arm was more than average and he could run and take hits.. seriously where do you guys come up with these names.. even 2016 Dak was nowhere near Mcnair, Mcnair and Mcnabb were nearly identical..it said current players but if you want any players of the past Id say he reminds me of Vince Young

dude no way.. Mcnabb was a throw first and threw very well qb that when he ran was down right hard to tackle and hard to sack..why is it the black Qbs get compared to other black QBs but their games are nothing alike..smh
