Dak did what Romo couldn't do: Win a road playoff game and very convincingly at that. But can McCarthy finally get the 26 year monkey off our back and win a div playoff game? You'll be surprised at my opinion.

I think we're gonna win Sunday. This is not sarcasm or anything but my opinion. I think somehow, we win Sunday and finally make it to an NFC championship game (remember those?). My brother has talked me into how Brock Purdy's magical run is coming to a close because defensive coordinators have enough video to study and will be able to game plan more effectively. We'll see what happens and it will really hinge on a) will SF's def stop the run and b) will Dak play like elite Dak or playoff Romo.

I am reminded that even if we win Sunday and finally get back to the conf championship, that the fuhrer is still the biggest GM failure in the history of football. He has had 26 tries at assembling a roster to make it to the NFC championship in the salary cap era, and he couldn't ever do it.

Romo never had a defense hold the opposition to 12 points.

We definitely have a good opportunity Sunday. But I’m not sure why it’s better than 2007, 2014 or 2016. Maybe even 2018. All teams capable of winning their divisional playoff game .

I will agree Purdy is the biggest question mark I have with SF. Prescott has an opportunity to outshine him .

Our OL is the key IMO. We have to force them to rush more than 4 . And we have to open some lanes for running game and protection for Dak.

And let’s hope it doesn’t come down to a kick . That might have become our greatest jinx . Just don’t know what to think about our kicker. OMG

The Romo disrespect is unreal here, and I like Dak.

Let's not forget that the Bucs were likely the worst playoff team in terms of record that this franchise has ever played in the postseason. Now they get a 7th round rookie at QB and potentially a Divisional opponent in the NFCC. Things are aligning for Dallas. They have to seize the opportunity. This whole Romo/Dak pissing contest is still goofy as hell.

Very true, and I don't blame Dak or the team for overhyping it.....its the fans and media doing that.

Now if the Cowboys do the same to the Niners? I'll buy all the hype that comes with that win all day long

Maybe if Romo would have thrown 4 Td's and ran in and TD and had no turnovers (which is an NFL and Cowboys playoff record), maybe the defense wouldn't have been so tired carrying Romo in those playoff games? :)
Well that's the point. The defense didnt carry Romo. Romo would typically go down and score and the defense would give one up right back the other way. Is it any wonder that Dak finally had a blowout victory with a defense holding their side of the ball? It matters.

And then of course Garrett didnt help Romo either.

What playoff game are you talking about where Romo would just go down and scored but the defense gave one back the other way?
