^ This.

Defense forces the Giants to punt, Dallas wins.

Defense forces the Giants to kick a field goal, Dallas wins.

Defense allowed the Giants to score before the half.

Math.
Still had a chance to win at the end. Unfortunately Romo threw an INT instead of a TD.

Games are the summation of all four quarters, sometimes overtime. Observers can willingly make conversation based on the actions (real or imagined) of a single player. Or analyze and identify every sub-event, that players, coaches, even the opposing team, etc. contributive to a win or loss, from kickoff to game's end.

As always, it boils down to a personal choice within any football discussion.

I swear people are obsessed with blaming this QB or that QB, when the only constant this last 27 years has been Jerry Jones and his office full of yes men and sycophants.

People should stop fighting and get a clue.

The summation of all four quarters is the favored Cowboys lost to a Wild Card team.

No idea why this comparison even exists. Completely different quarterbacks, eras, and skill set.

Skill wise Dak is not even in close to Romo. Bar a year or two Dak has had a Ferrari of a team. Then throw in coaching and talent. Dak played phenomenal last week however TB was argurably one of the weakest playoff teams to make the playoffs in recent history. Then we get a 3rd string quarterback this game.

IMO even if Dak plays great today he still doesn't surpass Romo. Progressing to another round and automatically crowning someone superior is small brain energy.

It takes more than skills. One also needs will and heart.

Barry Sanders was extremely skilled but Emmitt Smith had more heart and the will to win big.

Check out Emmitt after a second half run in the 1993 SB. The game Aikman played with a concussion.

He was hyped because he knew what was about to happen. I.e., the Cowboys were going to win the game.

True. Different factors composed the favored team. Additional factors made up the wild card team.

It is also true some observers have identified many (or close to all) of the in-game factors that lead to Dallas' defeat and New York's victory. Other observers know and repeatedly state ad nauseam that Romo was the only reason why Dallas did not advance to the NFC Championship game.

Conversations on the topic are what they have always been because of the above.

Another revisionist historian. Parcells built a Super Bowl roster here on both sides of the ball and Romo simply never got it done. He played w a great defense during some of his tenure here while Dak played with the worst Cowboys defense in franchise history statistically so just stop with the fairy tales and excuses why Romo never won a road playoff or Div game.
Dak really layed a turd today. How did that taste because he was awful. I've told you clowns that Dak is a choker. His biggest weakness is his arm strength and accuracy. Your not winning anything when your QB lacks talent. He was outplayed by Basically Romo. 2.0. in Brock Purdy! Dak sucks and this team will never win anything with him. At least Romo makes the NFC championship game if the Dez catch that was cheated out of by the refs.

You mean when the clock was at 4:55? No we lose that game anyway as all Rogers needed was to get a FG and there was almost 5 minutes left, not 10 seconds like everyone thinks.
