Dak Prescott Doubters? Only Cowboys Super Bowl Can Silence Them - ESPN

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has his fair share of detractors, and former Steelers star Ryan Clark says that he will never silence them until that elusive Lombardi trophy is won.
Few players in the NFL divide opinion quite like Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. Having been in the league since 2016, Dak has generally put up big numbers but has come up short in the postseason, most recently in back-to-back seasons against the San Francisco 49ers.

Prescott has his fair share of doubters who think he will never lead Dallas to Super Bowl glory. Former Pittsburgh Steelers star Ryan Clark says Prescott's doubters will only be silenced once a Super Bowl is won.

"Doubters won't be silenced," Clark said on ESPN's GetUp. "If you doubt him, you doubt him. Nothing's going to change that. These are the doubters that say Dak Prescott can't be a Super Bowl-caliber or Super Bowl-winning quarterback."

After leading the NFL in interceptions last season with 15, many now see Dak as a "turnover machine," despite being relatively careful with the football throughout his career.

No Doubt in fact none at all.
He was and will continue to be a needs-to-be-carried average overpaid QB!
Enjoy his last act as the Dak era will be terminated next off-season!!!!

That's two written articles , mentioning Dak Haters, you think it was the fan's fault....then again why not, everything else has been blamed.

Show me he can improve his 55 Rating in a clutch scenario in the playoffs then I'm happy to extend....until then he'll always be a choker when the games on him to step up.

Nope not true, just don’t look pathetic to the point where your own home town fans are pelting you with garbage! It’s not just about Super Bowls. We all want that. but some confidence and competence from the most important position on the field against the legit SB contenders in January. That would be the place to start.

Yep, we certainly do, however, our expectations have been high in the past.
Yeah 2014, 2016, 2021, and 2022 could have won the Superbowl at the end of the season. If this team does not make to the divisional round everyone (Joneses included) need to be gone. Easily a top 3 team in the NFC talent wise.

A SB for this franchise is long overdue. It’s time to at least make it to one.
In the QB feuds with fans, I will admit that I think Dak gets some of the overall frustration from no Super Bowls in 30 years. Every QB is held to a higher than realistic standard, and even the great ones like Aikman were boo‘ed early and late in their careers. That’s just the way it goes for life as a QB in the NFL. It’s why they get those crazy contracts now. But yeah, I think it’s realistic to admit that the frustration with Dak is even higher because fans just want to go somewhere in the Playoffs for once.

If Jimmy G or Kirk C or Derek Carr won a SB would it remove all doubt about their abilities \ contributions as a QB?

Anyone being honest will answer no. Why would it be any different with Dak?

If he is just a member of a winning team, it shouldn't change the perception. He needs to show he's a driving force int he success to change the perception, Just like those other QB's.
