Once again.... without deflecting this time could you please answer the question. According to what you said, shouldn't Sam Darnold be placed on a higher tier than Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrows?

I am sure about that. I just don't think Darnold is any better than Kyler.

Like Geno and Baker, the perception of Darnold is inflated because of how bad his career started. He still doesn't do anything at a particularly high level.

It doesn’t matter if dak is good enough or not. The position is judged heavily based on playoff wins. I don’t make the rules. And there is plenty of evidence to support dak not proving he’s good enough in the biggest of games. He’s had plenty of very bad games in very big games.

I cannot disagree with you on Dak's playoff performances. That is very true.

1. Sam Darnold, Trent Dilfer, Nick Foles and Brad Johnson are better post season quarterbacks than Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Joe Burrows and every NFL QB who has never won a Superbowl, correct?

If that's your critieria for Darnold? What is it for Dak?

My criteria for Dak is show up in the playoffs. Have a great game in the NFCCG. Seattle doesn't make the Sb without Darnold. If you have a great defense like Seattle then don't screw it up. If the defense isn't up to par then play well. Honestly if Dak actually showed up in the NFCCG and won it my opinion of him would change.

Its definitely not the only criteria because its a team game. Yes people place unfair blame and unfair praise on the quarterback position but that doesn't make those assessments accurate.

No quarterback wins a Superbowl by themselves. That has never happened and never will happen.

Going up a tier doesn't guarantee a Superbowl victory. It increases the chances but guarantees nothing. If that were the case, every elite tier quarterback who has ever played would be Superbowl champions, but we both know thats not the case.

Just like every team that has won a Superbowl didn't always have an elite tier quarterback under center.

Since ranking are so important to some, here is my unofficial ranking of lovestruck Prescott loyalists already pimping in this thread.

Tier 1, (in order)

Yobowcs - Clearly the best. On another level. Innate ability to compartmentalize all logic and reason and run on pure emotion. Ability to illogically rationalize is off the charts. Likely will finish career as the unchallenged GOAT.

Rockport - Pure determination and never quit attitude is the main reason for his high ranking. Ability to tune out anything and everything that doesn't fit the agenda, in childlike fashion, is elite.

Gineric - Gineric presents as the most "logical" of the tier 1 LPL's. The ability to use completely irrelevant facts and comparisons to make a case for something that in and of itself is irrelevant propels him to tier 1 status. Elite ability to baffle with bs or at least try to.

tmc - Debatable whether tmc deserves this spot on the tier 1 list. It could be argued that his massive volume of "contributions" is made more because he just likes to argue about anything. While I agree with that, I also agree with those on the panel of experts that suggest the sheer volume of his "contributions", combined with the speed and timeliness, indicate a true deeply emotional attachment and unwavering desire to protect his beloved. He may need to work on coming across as less of a pure troll rather a true LPL if he wants to hold a spot in tier 1 but for now, I think he deserves this ranking.
