Dak hoping for a trade to help the team

31 teams have a GM who’s sole job is focusing on the team and players and how to improve. We have a GM whose sole job only part time focuses on the team, the rest of the time he’s screwing or is doing other things like making natural gas deals. I wish players like Dak would mention this…..he’s already got tens of millions guaranteed, everyone would agree with him lol. Hard to win when the GM isn’t really on board with doing what it takes to win.

Since we play the Monday night game, Jerry will have what, 12 hours to make a deal? He doesn't wake up until noon, so that doesn't leave him much time

So, I hope everyone understands that Dak has always been willing to restructure. He did it twice on his last deal. The problem is that Jerry mismanages the cap
They know.........but fans see what they wanna see.

Was listening to The Morning Drive on SiriusXM during my near daily walk. They pulled up part of a Dak interview, talking about the upcoming game vs. the Cardinals. "We have to string some wins together. "We can use some help...maybe make a trade."

Jerry, your $60 million QB is openly saying the team needs help. The ball is in your court.
Naughty, naughty......many read that title as him wanting out?

So he is open to get traded?

LETS GO JERRHUU !!!!

Dak wants another WR. Jefferson wants out of Minny. Go get him Jerry. Dak needs another weapon on offense to fix the defense.

If Jerry makes a trade it will not be for a top tier player. Take Maxx Crosby, for example. How much would Dallas have to give up to get Crosby. He doesn't want to leave Las Vegas, and Las Vegas doesn't really want to trade him. The compensation for Crosby would probably be 2 first round picks and an up and coming player, and I don't mean Mazi Smith. If Parsons got 1 firsts and Kenny Clark, what do you think Crosby would get?

Would you give up one of the Packers' firsts round picks and one of the Cowboys first round picks to get Crosby - plus a player like Pickens?

Of course everyone want Crosby when they think it will take on a single first round pick. but what if it's more? The same goes for Garrett.

If there is a trade it will be for someone in the second tier. Probably no going to be someone that really moves the needle in 2025.

You make it sound like Dak is selflessly willing to restructure his contract for the sake of the team.

The reality is a restructure only means Dak gets his money upfront in the form of a signing bonus rather than over time in the form of weekly pay checks. Dak benefits more than the team does in a restructure.

I’m not trying to say that at all. There was a sarcastic comment wondering if Dak would be willing to restructure to give the team some flexibility. I was simply pointing out that he’s done so several times before and would almost certainly do so again

Dak will never speak out against Jerry. He’s the only reason Dak’s been a starter in this league for 10 years.

Then he should volunteer to take a pay cut and be traded.

This team isn't one player away from competing for a championship.....more like 6 players on defense alone, so making a trade at this point is not a smart move IMO..
It's the only way we acquire quality veterans, so I think it's smart depending on who we could get. For example, if we could get Quinnen Williams from the Jets. He's not a one-year fix. He's a multiyear addition that's likely better than whatever pick it would take to get him.

Na, Dak has had some VERY good play for several years. Go look at his stats, he’s EASILY a starter in this league. There’s a lot of teams who would chase after him if he left Dallas. He’s under contract, no trade clause, tons of guaranteed money (on top of what he already earned)…..if ANYONE could say SOMETHING about Jerry to hint the players are tired of this crap as hell….he could. I mean he softly brought it up, said he understands how fans would be frustrated with good reason over Jerry’s natural gas comments, just wish he took it a little further. Jerry couldn’t trade him or anything. I just hate Jerry lol, wish EVERYONE turned on his stupid ***.

That seals it

Please dont trade a top pick

So you think he’s not been looking to make a deal but for just 2 hours? :muttley:
