They can have all the friends they want...so can we.

Dak and Tony can do what they want...neither one have won the Cowboys a SB. C'mon, bro.

And after seven years, the chosen one is not going to get it done.

....."chosen one" is you know who. That's cool. That's Dak's initial and biggest problem.....heir to the beloved one. That's ok.

Ok, you think Prescott sucks but what if we added an extra year to his contract and guaranteed everything?
The hope is that if you give them more money they will play better. It’s been the cowboys strategy for years.

I don’t know why folks lie soooo ridiculously online. They are acting like this is medieval times and nobody can do quick things like what you just did.
Spot on.

Plus why not just be who you are? We've all got opinions and this is an open forum. I'm not trying to "impress" anyone. Just having my say and hopefully a few laughs along the way, right?

I believe Dak’s contract gets restructured. It doesn’t need to be extended yet, just move money around for cap relief. That was the plan all along. The QB is going nowhere, and they won’t eat that 49 million this year in hopes of releasing him next year. That’s pretty much the logical facts despite all the whining.

No, duh.

I would explain more but you're not worth the trouble. Army Ranger my butt. All mouth. All talk is all you are.
You gotta keep your arguments straight.

I never claimed to have been an army ranger and have nothing but awe and respect for anyone who was

You got me mixed up with someone else you're arguing with bro

Dak’s contract counted only a little over 19 million on the cap this season. It had nothing to do with the free agent philosophy.

Wrong. It's because unlike you and the many Dak attackers, I understand Dak is not going anywhere. The best thing FOR THE TEAM is for Dak to get better help/training and for the Offense to be improved on the Oline, WRs, possibly now the RBs and definitely with the playcalling and passing route concepts/schemes.
I'm fully aware he's not going anywhere because of his contract. I'm also fully aware that after his last performance, this team needs an impossible amount of talent to overcome his choke in order to make it past the divisional round. The O-line and defense did more than enough to win. WR's were open. Dak choked the game away. That's fact. How much more help does that choker need?

I'm all for trying to correct his flaws, but I don't think he's capable. We will see.

Nope. The front office also didn’t bring in anyone of note when Dak was on his rookie contract. Blaming Dak for the front office refusing to pay free agents is a really bogus argument
You noticed? Why is this so hard for a lot of people? The front office doesn't do anything. It's as if an AI runs the offseason. And it is set to simple. Fill holes with cheap FAs, draft, rinse and repeat. It doesn't matter what the team's record was previously. It doesn't matter what the QB is being paid. It's the same thing every year. Fill holes with cheap FAs and draft. Blame the quarterback all you want, but teams that actively want to win a championship don't do this. They build off the previous season.

I’m just at a point where I know dak will never ever be what some of his biggest fans say he is and he’s not as bad as some of his detractors say. I’m also not in denial that’s he’s going any other team anytime soon so my goal is to give him as much help as we possibly can.

Me screaming trade or release him just doesn’t matter and isn’t going to happen so I wanna do everything possible in creating a roster that we can maybe get lucky and win with. think parcells hit it right on the head….he’s not elite or top tier but you can win with him.

They can add dummy years (voidable) if reducing the cap hit is your goal. Reducing to 30M is only a 10M saving over his current 40M AAV.

They could pay a top WR like Devonte Adam's for about 1/3rd of a season with 10M.
Dak isn’t going anywhere this year. We don’t have much cap space to do anything right now
There’s not much of a chance of replacing Dak this year picking at 26
Extending him gives you real options to build a better team around him
You could move on from Zeke and keep pollard for instance. You could go get a WR though the position doesn’t look strong in FA so likely would have to trade
You could sign a DT though I doubt Payne would be the guy
But it gives you options you don’t have now for sure
