The thing is with Herbert and Allen. They have stronger arms, and can make all the throws. As where Dak is limited on certain throws. I think this is where MM can have better success with Dak than Moore. If he knows how to eliminate those throws and puts him into position he can succeed.

The eyeball test holds true in this case as to arm strength, it is noticeably different. Allen and Herbert arms are better. As to overall play and success, yet to be determined.

I would think, and hope, any Dallas fans would take either one of those over Dak. I like Dak to a degree, and have been down on him especially after last season. We have won with him obviously, but he needs to step up his game in the playoffs for sure.
Still give me Herbert or Allen. But not Carr or Cousins.
They’re just mutants.

Not only do they have 2 of the best arms the NFL has ever seen they can also run like deer and they are 6’6 lol.

Yes but they’re truly elite players. Anyone who isn’t biased can see they are rare talents.

Dak’s not a rare talent.
well it depend on your definition of elite. There is a reason dak was drafted in the 4th Ill give you that but the list is long of athletes with great pedigree that havent panned out. and they havent carried their team with better roster despite this rare talent you talk about. Ill give herbert a touch more lattitude

1 thing to keep in mind. All the elite QBs play in the AFC.

Rodgers and Brady have been the only elite NFC QBs and they both fell off this past year.

tha gap between Herbert and Mahomes is large just as it is with Dak. id argue he is the only elite QB in the league as Brady is gone (and was limted) and rodgers is washed. The Gap between allen and Mahomes is not as Large but there is stilla gap. I can see Trevor getting there but hesa few years out I believe

So what. They are rare talents.

You shouldn’t compare Dak to those type of QBs. Compare him to Kirk Cousins or Derek Carr.

No GM would even have this conversation.

Pay the rare QB all day. Dak’s not rare and needs a team to carry him.

I don’t hate Dak. He’s a good player. I hate his contract and how he is paid like he is something he’s not.
Right.

Bc those "rare" guys have done so much lol

I will say it is rare that a qb blows a huge lead in the playoffs after blowing a shot at the playoffs in his 2nd year.

Really rare.

now we going to pretend Amari never had elite game speed? I guess he didn’t run routes as well as Cook either..

That’s because I watch them play and it’s clear as day they are elite at their position.

I don’t need a stat or whatever crap you look at to see they are freaks at the QB position.

If you gave the Dallas Cowboys the option of Allen or Herbert vs Dak they would pick Allen or Herbert.
Dak is in year 8.. he was setting Quincy Carter records in futility with an elite OL and RG in the years everybody is impressed by Herbert and Allen..

These Dak-Stans are amazing with their comparisons..

anybody going that route should be put in a mental asylum. There is no GM in the world and none of these Dak homers would even consider Dak over these guys. If they say they would, they are flat out lying.

I’m just glad I’m not as delusional as some of these people on here. Imagine being like that…

These elite QBs don’t need to win immediately, they need to show all the necessary skills and qualities like ability to handle adversity, such as OCs that suck, while still carrying the team and having an offense centered around them and teams ravaged by multiple injuries, including not just the OL, but without your two staring WRs our together for significant stretches. And so on…

It’s about not being the worst player on the field for multipolar stretches, year in and out, despite being baby-sat and catered too year in and year out..

I would say Mahomes right now is the top Elite QB in the league. Burrow is behind him. I agree, Rodgers is no longer Elite. he is still very good. Allen is just outside of Elite. has the talent, has a good team and supporting case, but can't get over the hump. he laid a big fat egg against Cinci. Herbert has the arm. everyone is infatuated with his arm and pretty spiral. but I am not 100% sold on him. he is very good. enticing. but not elite. the rest are based on opinion and bias can rank anywhere from 5-15. all have warts. all have pluses.

I'm just relaying what he said. From what I gathered he thinks Cooks is faster.

Definitely clocked faster. 4.3 versus 4.4. When you made the post, I googled Cooper’s speed and in week 8 game he was tracked as the third fastest player, at over 20 mph. Interestingly, Cooper dropped weight to 210-215, as he was playing at 225 the last 3 years, meaning in Dallas. So he must have compromised some speed for strength during the last 3 years before Cleveland, for whatever reason.

Yeah, he's gotta be the most boring player to interview. It's all window dressing. He talks and talks but doesn't say anything. I don't know what I expect him to say but it's like, why bother?

You Dak haters are mental. Be harsh on his inconsistencies. The playoff INTs. To constantly berate the guy is pathetic though. By all accounts he is a good man. Works hards. Plays tough. Good teammate. Just an all around good guy. Shut up already with the sniping.
