Not really impressive considering two completely different eras

Roger actually had to worry about getting subdivided by the D and the WRs had to worry about ending up drooling uncontrollably due to DBs with nicknames like the ASSASSIN.

To be blunt todays football more resembles flag football compared to then

Shows how much the game has changed with these QBs getting so many more yards quickly. However, it's also a reminder that Dak has done some good things in his career. Now go win a Super Bowl and move into the top 3! If you don't want that to happen you're not a Cowboys fan.

1. Staubach
2. Aikman
3. White
4. Romo
5. Prescott

Yep
Any QB that can play for many years in today's era will break their predecessor's records.

This is Dak's 7th year (though he has missed time) and he will play for several more years still.
So he'll, by default, own all the Cowboys passing records just as Romo did before him.

Staubach, the great QB that played 8 full seasons after serving his country and played in an era that relied heavily on the running game......but hey, let's celebrate Dak. LOL
7 full seasons
he was a starter in 71 until mid year, missed all of 72 until the playoffs
then 73-79 he played 100 games exactly (14 game seasons thru 77, was sat out final games of 75 and 78)

also fewer plays per game as there was no play clock

Today begins the defining era of Dak Prescott as the Cowboys quarterback. Cooper Rush showed everyone how good the Cowboys could be in high pressure situations, and that has put Dak's history of choking in big games front and center.
How Dak handles the next six games will tell if the run game bailed out Rush, or if Dak can really make the Cowboys better when he has to.
It's been easy for Dak to pad his stats playing in the worst division in the NFL; now we'll see what happens when he has everything in his favor and has to produce with the season on the line.
