Dak is a bigger, more mobile Drew Brees

Even if you love Dak, I don't see how you could scan all the very good QB's and come up with Brees as a comparison. They don't play anything alike. Brees was much more of a touch passer. Dak has the bigger arm.

Its actually hard to find a comparison for Dak. He has a strong arm but he isn't a risk taker.

I would take Brees mobility in the pocket over Dak anyday of the week!

Everybody needs to get it through their heads that Dak is not a mobile Qb. He never was!

He is a fullback as a QB not a tailback.

I don't know what to do with this take. Dak is very mobile.. He moves very well in the pocket, extends plays with his legs and can get 3-4 first downs on scrambles a game. That is the very definition of mobile. He doesn't need to be some auxiliary running back to be considered mobile. But hey I get it.. ABD baby.. ABD..

Hes like Drew Brees if Brees played a game with his left hand.

I love Dak, and good post btw; we're all free to our opinions. But Drew Brees is a small, not-so mobile QB. Comparing a QB to him by saying he is a big mobile version is a bit odd. My black SUV is more similar to other black SUVs because they are big and black. A small white Prius isn't a small white version of my car...it is an entirely different car. Sure they both have wheels though.

Its strange how all of the delusional Dak Pom Pom waivers resort to personal attacks. Not that I care but it’s a common trait that you all have.
Another common trait that they have in common is a horrible post to like ratio.

That tells me that they rarely talk actual football, or give actual well thought out opinions, but instead they just come on here to argue and insult people.

Nobody wants to see that. That's why their ratios are so bad.

Scanning the whole field and super accurate on all his throws.

Except he still has a deep ball. We can win with this:omg:
A hell of a lot of QBs were/are bigger and more mobile than Brees.

But very few were better QB's. Dak is not one of them.

Which is not a knock on Dak. A person can be an outstanding QB and not be as good as Brees.

Not really that hard for me.. I can come up with two pretty easily.. The first and most obvious is Steve McNair.. smart, big, tough, leader, not fast but able to move around just enough ... good accurate passer with a good arm. Would run through a wall for his team and his teammates would do the same for him. The other one is probably less obvious would be Andrew Luck.. Again, big and strong, good arm, great leader.. not a "great" athlete but a good enough athlete to help his team with his legs.

while i don't like any of what this guys posts , he means daks not a Lamar, Vick, Hill, or Murray type as qb. his mobility isn't that like fast tailback while running and more like lumbering FB and its sort of true.Daks not truly a mobile running qb but can run ..well used to before the \ankle and calf injuries.

so hes saying since daks mobility isnt so great its a true asset, hes taking brees arm over daks legs.

i can see that...

Dak reminds me of Mcnabb more. hey dont take my head of fits who he reminds me of and not bad comp really.

This is definitely not just limited to the Dak “Pom Pom“ waivers. I see childish behavior and name calling across the board.

I believe you are correct that Dak is not as good as Brees would eventually become.. However I do believe that as he progresses Dak has the tools to surpass him. He's certainly better than what Brees was in HIS first 5-6 seasons.. Brees threw 106 TDs and 64 INTs in his first 6 seasons and only completed above 65% of his passes once.. Dak has thrown 135 TDs to 50 INTs and has only completed LESS than 65% of his passes once. Brees did not really blossom until he got with Sean Payton. If Dak stays on his current trajectory he will absolutely surpass Drew Brees.. Obviously nothing is guaranteed in life.. but it's not outside the realm of possibility given the way QBs age in the modern (can't touch this) NFL.

McNabb was more of a playmaker than Dak. Dak is more of a offensive facilitator.
