Dak is a bonafide All-Paid Starter

Dak is QB1 on the all-paid team.

By average per year (APY), Prescott is the NFL’s highest-paid player by $5 million (Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Jordan Love and Trevor Lawrence all check in at $55 million). Somehow, Prescott’s contract survived Allen’s $330 million extension in March. The 2024 season went about as poorly as it could for Prescott. After throwing nearly as many interceptions in the first eight games of 2024 (eight) as he did in all of 2023 (nine), Prescott suffered a season-ending hamstring injury in November. However, in his last full season (2023), he led the NFL with 36 touchdown passes. At the end of the day, performance in the playoffs will always define a quarterback. A 2-5 career postseason mark remains a blemish on Prescott’s résumé.
Here we go. Another “I hate Dak” thread to join the other billon of them.

They hate to hear that Jayden Daniels turned that franchise around also. That would defeat their idea that Dak doesn't have enough help.
Yep. They also hate Hurts for playing lights out in two Superbowls! Comical.

Looking through the Washington team from last season it really was Jayden Daniels who effectively turned around that franchise. Imagine if he actually played on a better team.

We have seen a washed up Andy Dalton and a practice squad Cooper Rush have at least comparable if not higher win % on the same teams as Dak Prescott which says it all.

It does make you realise the Cowboys could actually be a team with a legitimate shot at making some noise in the play offs if they had a good quarterback. Yet we are stuck with an immobile, one read QB. Great!

But he's garbage compared to Dak, right?

RIGHT???? Isn't that what we're supposed to be saying?
Hurts has proven to be better. His numbers aren’t great but he’s gotten it done in the playoffs. Mainly because he’s had great teams and hasn’t had to shoulder the load.

They earliest they can dump him now is 2027. At least then the CAP hit would be somewhat tolerable.
100% .........as stated before, unless he makes some real postseason noise over the next couple his job as a starter could end in 2027.

Commanders aren’t a real contender they got smacked up by 30 by the Eagles in a playoff game.
Their turnaround last season was no joke. New HC. Added so many players. Went into Detroit in the playoffs and won. Before the season started they were hopeful of a winning record. Instead they went to a place the Cowboys haven't been in 30 years.

Exactly! Daniels took a team with a suspect defense and won a couple playoff games on the road and took them to the NFC Championship game.

They had to play some great football to get into that game. They remain aggressive developing their roster. Philly isn’t going to be beating them by 30 again, if they beat them at all. They’re contenders.

I’m sure Eagles fans, like Cowboys fans, hope they “aren’t a real contender”.

It's not that I want to get rid of the player, but I would love to get rid of the contract and especially if we were able to get value back in return.

But it isn't happening in 2026 for cap reasons:
Post 6/1 2026 trade would still leave us with an $90M cap hit over 2 years. His 2026 cap hit would go down $40M from $74M to $34M and we would still have a $56M cap hit in 2027.
In 2027 it becomes possible and in 2028 it becomes extremely likely.

The worst contract in the league. A complete fraud "franchise" QB who needs an all star cast to carry him.

I guess a certain Brown's quarterback named Watson earned his contract. Oh wait... there are other quarterbacks like Trevor Lawrence and Herbert who haven't won a playoff game yet (I stand to be corrected if im wrong) and got max dollar contracts.

How many playoff wins do Lamar Jackson have? I believe the same amount of playoff wins as Dak. Hmmmm......

From what I see, Mahomes is the only quarterback earning his max dollars. How much is Burrows making again?

If Milton develops. And they traded Dak then Cowboys agree to eat $60 million per left on his contracts, blah blah woof woof
