Well said, stay thirsty my friend.Dak's preparation and film study is apparently amazing, from what little I've heard. That is one of the reasons for his success no doubt, and one of the reasons the Cowboys trusted him early on. Love it!
Absolutely. I think that's his biggest strength. A QB can have a great arm, great scrambling ability, a great touch on the ball, the ability to drill it when needed, and every other physical skill you can think of and still be a lousy quarterback if he's not smart.
Yep. You pretty much described Vick.

For sure vick was a one man show and was the most dominate player for awhile. He put that whole team on his back.I don't consider Vick not a smart QB. He played some great plays. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't even call a QB not smart. Its a very tough position to play. Vick just lacked the accuracy.
I was gonna reply the same; touch on the ball? That was always Vick's problem. planting his feet for accuracy (in the pocket) and touch on the ball; similar to Jeff George. Had a gun but didn't have touch. The Falcons were putrid before and initially after him; his turning them into regular playoff contenders showed he wasn't "dumb" in my opinion.Absolutely. Agree 100. Romo was "our" Manning; were both on the same high cerebral level in how they read defenses and adjusted plays pre snap to take advantage. Of course he was never given that same acknowledgement by the sports media...big surprise For Dak, it seemed to come second nature to him and will improve as he matures. Feels we lucked out on that same level of Romo in finding a QB gem late in the draft/UDFA. We are in SEA's position 4-5 years back without the D but a true #1 WR and great OL outside of Free; time to take advantageAnother thing I heard about Jeff George was that he had some great abilities, but was a lousy leader and a a bit of a jerk. Makes you appreciate both Dak and Romo.
Vick was pretty dumb. Reeves had to structure the offseason in his early years in Atlanta so that they came back every two weeks. Because if it was more than that, Vick would forget what they'd worked on.I don't consider Vick not a smart QB. He played some great plays. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't even call a QB not smart. I never thought Vick was film room smart like Dak. He relied solely on his athleticism and that only got him so far. He struggled a lot against good defenses who kept contain on him.I don't consider Vick not a smart QB. He played some great plays. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't even call a QB not smart.
