Already seeing around the Internet, Dak is 0-1 in "elimination games"

Ha, that stat was created for Romo and now Dak is inheriting it. Just like Romo, it doesn't matter what numbers Dak puts up or that he is the first rookie QB to throw 3 TD passes in a playoff game, or that he balls out but the defense cant stop a nose bleed, all that matter is 0-1 in elimination games now.

Welcome to Romo's world Dak, as long as you wear the star you are going to get the same treatment and if you lose your next playoff game and go 0-2 in elimination games, we are going to start hearing the same thing we hard them say about Romo......."Dak is a great regular season QB, but he chokes in elimination games".

You guys know its coming.
I did not see much Dak slamming in the corners of the Internet I frequent, nor did I see the absurd level of Dak slobbering that is going on here. Mostly I just saw praise of Rodgers. I did encounter this "gem"...

Dak is a sacred coe around here. At least, he isn't getting hate from his own fan base like Romo still does.

Many of those games weren't on Romo either, but he still got the blame.
That's essentially the crux of past hypocrisy but this specific form of nonsense didn't remotely begin with Romo either. Short-sighted narrow viewpoints have been problematic with evaluating sports and athletes forever.

I hope the front office can fix some deficiencies and re-enforce the roster once and for all. And soon. Too many brain farts keep toxifying practically every quarter of every game in some form or fashion. A questionable coaching decision here. A bonehead penalty there. Talent not transferring into production (one example was Butler not hauling in a perfectly thrown touchdown pass). Firing on all cylinders. Sputtering too often. Inconsistency is the bane of success.

Coaches should get their share of criticism. Some players (plural) should get theirs as well. Crucial drives short-circuited, sometimes multiple times within the same possession (I swear Doug Free has some sort of death wish or something). Etc. etc. This has been going on far too long. Honest observers can take every game that ended in a win or loss, dissect them quarter by quarter, possession by possession, and easily make a list of miscues that had some form of negative impact. Doesn't happen though.

Too many previous lists of blame have been far too abbreviated. The big picture of 60 minute contests are routinely ignored or dismissed. More often than not, the teams playing the best football for the most minutes of every game win. TEAM does not equal ONE player in football. It never has.

This is turning into a manifesto. Go Prescott. Go Cowboys! Good luck Romo.

Shouldn't you and your buddies still be out celebrating the loss?

You must be another slow poster..........must live in Farmer's Branch l ike Gimmie.

do you have an ex in farmers branch? must be a weird spot for you. i'd much rather attack frisco than farmers branch. frisco seems more plastic.

also no i dont live in FB... i actually live far from it in philosophy but close by in location.

and just a quick check on posts you've made in past about DAK. sure there is more....

" Or it could be that they don't like watching a rookie piss away a division title and home field advantage?

That would be my guess."

"However, I will give the Dak fan boys some latitude tonight. They are all a little edgy because their boy choked like a dog with division championship t-shirts waiting in the lockerroom."

"Wins and quarterback play are two different things............Dak has played like crap for 3 games, averaging only 166 yards and 2-24 on third downs. That is the issue and the problem right now."

"Now can a team still win with a QB playing like crap, absolutely......but it doesn't change the fact he is still playing like crap.........see Chicago Bears and Rex Grossman."

Quick to dismiss Dak arent you?

DAK HATER ALERT!

ON NOTICE.

In my opinion, Romo never overcame the bobbled snap in a segment of the fan base's minds. He did a fine job quarterbacking against Seattle, but that vision of him lying on the field after the snap was a tough one.

Add on the Giants game where it ends on an interception (never mind Crayton), and it just added fuel to the fire.

This loss was endured in entirely different circumstances, so I don't think nearly the same narrative will follow Dak for the time being.

Romo's time is likely done here, but I'm proud he was our QB. I'd gladly go to battle with him again any day of the week if given the chance to rewrite the last decade.

I'm very excited about the next decade with Dak. I think we have landed a gem. Yesterday's performance only reinforced that for me.

But anyone who looks back at the past decade and thinks the QB was the problem deserves to have their television smashed over their head.

Granted, I am not looking that hard, but I am really not seeing many people putting this loss on Dak other than a few trolls and a few hard and fast Dak haters on this board.
In fact, it's been the complete opposite here in Green Bay. Both Dak and Zeke have been praised around here.

:clap:Good overall post but the first paragraph really defines Romo critics' perspective pretty well unfortunately.

We better draft another QB in case this guy turns into another rg3 . None of us know what Dak really is yet .

I think Dak will get a bit of a pass in the short term.
Plus, he is completely setup. The average age of the team is 26, the offense looks to be outstanding for years to come...or should be anyway.
Because the offense is full of young studs, I think they have room to really build the defense....I don't think he'll ever have to play on a team with defenses like those ranked at or near the dead bottom of the league that Romo had to play with from 2011-2013.

He's going to have success.

Anyway, people forget that out of the 4 playoff losses the Cowboys had under Romo, 3 of them came down to the very end and could have gone either way very easily.

1) Hopefully the would be game-winning TD pass will be caught instead of the route being broken--like vs the Giants in 2007.
2) Hopefully Dak will never be asked to play special teams after driving his team down the field as QB for the go ahead points like Romo did in Seattle.
3) And hopefully when he throws a perfect go-ahead or game winning pass to Dez, that he'll either come down with it and not extend for more or at least get the benefit of the call by the refs if he does....like vs GB last year.

Three loses out of 4 right there. All three times, as QB, Romo actually did enough to win in game-winning or go-ahead drives
Inches.
Again...team game. team loss

And btw, Dallas had won their last two home playoff games before yesterday.

Things will work out, and I think Dallas and Dak will see that going forward.

Not true. The OL that was built for Romo is now Dak's. So Dak shouldn't be subjected to running for his life every other play because of the latest jail break.

Unless, of course, Jerry decides the OL is no longer a priority because Dak is so "Mobile". Like he said about Romo. LOL!!!

What did Dak do this season to deserve hate?

If it was Romo who threw it right to the packers the media would've been going nuts. Or Romo starting off horrible with 3 points in the 1st quarter they'd be all over him. Dak wasn't at his best yesterday either. We lost the game. You don't have halves in the playoffs to get jitters out of the way.
