3-1 sets us up for no worse than 3-3 for Romo's return after Bye. And it could be even better. The way this offense is churning and defense playing inspired in some cases Romo has to be excited to return not needing as much heroics for the push into Nov and Dec.

Dak has come to the rescue providing us hope for the future while keeping this season alive. We can finally win without Romo. Garrett should also receive his due as well and Marinelli for holding this defense together.

There has been (literally) tons of comments posted about the team's quarterback position since the preseason. It'll be interesting whether amnesia sets in because a number of CowboysZone heads will be EXPLODING once Romo is healthy enough to return to the starting role. It'll be fun times. Fun times.

The true test is forthcoming, the schedule is Bengals, Packers, Bye, Eagles.
Dak has already proven himself as our future franchise QB, but now he will face his next hurdle.
How he performs against this upcoming stretch will be the true deciding factor on rather or not Romo possibly ever plays again.

Great post. This really is the test. If he gets a couple of wins out of those 3 games it'll be hard to make that change.

It might be difficult for some fans to bench Dak even if he wins these next games but the decision has already been made. Im not sure all fans recognise this? I know they all might not accept it.

The best break this team has caught in a long time was the fibula of kellen moore( sorry floaty)
Otherwise we would be pounding our heads against the wall getting daily updates on romo's condition.
Dak has energized the franchise

If he wins all three and has the Cowboys at 6-1, I think they'll be a national riot by Cowboys fans if Romo is re-inserted into the line up.

I'm not saying I will be among them. I'm in the "wait and see" crowd. But at 6-1, it will be EXTREMELY hard to demote Dak back to the clipboard experience.

Some people should consider what events have or have not occurred concerning each and every comment Jones as uttered since he bought the team. Or not. It's a personal choice in the end.

if we win 2 out of the next 3, he should stay. otherwise I'd like to see Romo attempt to take this offense to another level.

Im thinking this is Daks last week.

I could be wrong but I think Dak comes back against Philly.

I hope not because I really want to see Dak and Wentz go head to head.

"Setting the table for Romo?" What does this mean? Are the other 52 players all putting in effort just for 'Romo?" No. this is a team game and Romo is just one of the members. The highest paid team member who is currently sitting the bench unable to contribute once again.

Dak is setting the table for the Cowboys as a team and himself as starter. To be clear, this team owes Romo absolutely NOTHING. We all thought 5 weeks ago that Dak would be learning from Romo while Romo rode the pine once again. Well, maybe Romo is learning a lot on the bench watching Dak operate the offense.

Dak leading the Cowboys is 3-1. And, by the way, Dak is making 1/40th the salary of Romo. Let that sink in for a while. And does anyone really think the team would have a better record than 3-1 right now if Romo were healthy and starting? I don't.

I might be sick in the head but I am looking forward to all the bellyaching quite frankly. After all the vile comments made about Romo it's funny how quickly everyone forgets just how good the guy is. Dak has been impressive as a rookie, but he isn't on Romo's level yet. The playbook will open up dramatically when he is back. Romo will push the ball down the field and it will change how defenses play and scheme against Dallas, especially with Zeke turning it on.

I look forward to the future with Dak, but I also look forward to the Magic Man returning

Tony is likely giddy at being only a few weeks away from handing off to Zeke, throwing screen passes to Cole and getting all the credit. No need to even throw in rehab, passes longer than 10 yards are now frowned upon.

If they split the next two, they are 4-2 with Romo scheduled to return. It will be Romo after that but it will be a very short leash I hope.

It's called winning. Look it up, actually a "good" thing.
