I went over a bunch of games yesterday because i was bored and its pretty clear Dak is not pulling the trigger on passes he should. Its the NFL, rarely are WRs ever to be 5+ yards open.

I dont know why its in his head to only pass to people wide open but im 100% positive thats his problem

Because if they aren't wide open he is afraid he'll throw an INT or the ball will be bated up in the air for an INT. He wasn't explosive in the passing game in 2016, but at least he protected the ball. I wonder if that is his instinct or its coaching tell him to just not take risks, because Zeke is supposed to be the offense.

He hasn’t learned to anticipate or throw the receivers open. Don’t know if he ever will. He isn’t throwing ints but he has fumbled 4 times in the last 2 games. Week prior he had good bounces. That fumble on the goal line was a game changer. Had Elliot standing right there open but was looking deeper. He threw the ball better in that game so it’s encouraging.

No this just isn’t true and if you just took 2 minutes out of your day to actually research your claim you could find that out on your own. According to nextgen stats, Dak is the second most aggressive passer in the league, meaning he throws into tight coverage more than everyone in the league besides Jimmy G. Now if that’s because our receivers get the least separation in the league is another point entirely but he’s definitely not only throwing the ball when they’re 5 yards open which you’re claiming.

He’s also very slow going thru his progressions. I don’t think he’ll ever develop this part of his game. This trait is what separates the great ones from the avg. QBs. That’s why you see so many one hit wonders in the NFL. Some just don’t have it between the ears.

I think that’s right
He doesn’t anticipate who will be open so he’s throwing to the guy who is open. The problem with that at this level is open doesn’t last long
He’s got to get better at quick decisions and throw to who will be open before they are open

Stats can be deceiving. Watch the film!

The stat takes into consideration the separation at the time of the catch. Therefore, it's possible (my eyes say likely) that by the time he throws the ball, the defender is closing in on it.

The good news is that Amari Cooper is capable of getting that kind of cushion. The bad news is that Dak still won't be able to hit him in stride. Amari is going to be jumping and diving all over the field trying to catch Dak's inaccurate throws.

I agree. He doesn't want to throw an int as it has been in grade in his head ever since he was little kid by his mother who told him int were bad.

I gave you a like, but I hope you're wrong.

It’s gonna take time. I am starting the think the rookie season was a blur for him. The real learning has begun last year. Lol.

I have serious doubts about these Next Gen Stats.

They have some squirrelly outputs at times.

Get outta here Dak you're taking too long to see open receivers. Dak you're also not aggressive. You can't find 10 people on earth from fans, to the coaching staff, to anybody that watches these games, to analyst that has ever said that about your play style. Who do you think you're fooling Dak?

He's always played that way. He's a checkdown game manager with some mobility.
