Dak looked like he had never seen a blitz before

Maybe, maybe not. It certainly would have been worth a try.
According to way too many people on this board our backup QB is always an all-pro who can do no wrong and we'd win every game if we'd just bench Dak in favor of whoever our backup is. Don't feed the trolls good sir.

I don’t think any quarterback would survive behind this line, right now it’s not about escaping. It’s about having a route to escape.
He’s plodding around back there. If you cannot see that his agility is almost non existent, I cannot help you. He used his arms and legs to escape the pocket, avoid rushers, and make plays down the field before in his career. If you cannot flick the ball off your back foot to a receiver that is 15-20 yards away, then you must be able to avoid rushers-he used to have that. He’s 33 and aging in real time. Last year he really busted his tail to get a little bit back, but it’s the following year and this is a brutal game physically. As you age, those issues become magnified-any injury, any loss of arm strength, any loss of agility…

What numbers?
His numbers against pressure are always at the top of the league.

In 2025 against pressure: First in completion percentage (PFF), first in completion rate (PFF), first in grade (PFF), 2nd in DVOA.

The idea that he consistently struggles with pressure is patently false. He is one of the best in the league at it.

Is constantly going backwards, you’re thinking of other teams, you’re not thinking about this offensive line

When something is clearly not working, trying something new is usually a better alternative. I'm not saying to give him Dak's job, just throw an unknown at the Packers, and a fresh pair of eyes, arms, and legs into the offense.

Sounds like you wanna put the entire blame on him, I’m not disagreeing with much of what you’re saying, but we could win with him, if other things work properly

Im a Dak fan but either he is done or something. Whatever it is I don't suspect it's good. Rooting for him but it doesn't look good.
What have we here? A moment of clarity?!?

I have sympathy for him. As RJ Ochoa said, he's out there by himself and his inept coach can't help him. It's the $60 million dollar man against a team of defensive coaches each week breaking down and exploiting our every weakness.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown...and he asked for this. Demanded it.

Speaking of "rooting for him"....you also "rooted" for him to get his money. ;)

How can any player on offense be ok with what dak did on the last throw?
Well dak prevented a possible 4th down interception by throwing the ball away on our last desperation play. Man, we need good vibes, not bad...lol

You have entirely unrealistic expectations. Dak's not fast but his movement in the pocket is pretty much as good as it gets. The problem is that he has to do it constantly, which is impossible.

IMHO, he appears to be staring down the blitz because he doesn't trust protection, definitely not setting his feet (please stop that stupid jump throw that goes in the dirt every time), his passes are high, many of them are ducks, he bales out after his first read isn't there, etc, etc. Playcalling is an issue, the OC/Head Coach is a bigger issue. Having said all that, an eleven-year veteran should be able to overcome some of this, especially his mechanics and decision making. Again, just my humble opinion, Dak has never been as bad as some make him out to be, but he also isn't a perennial top QB. His numbers may look impressive, but his body of work, especially in the playoffs and big games do not support that. He is an aging vet that appears to be on the downward slope and unfortunately, I think things will get worse with him, not better, especially with this coaching staff.
This, let’s see if they extend him, this will tell us all we need to know.

Copy cat league.

The Tampa tape Bowles provided the league was very effective and versions of that same type of defense will be used by most all opponents until Dallas shows it can beat it.

They looked just as confused last night trying to handle the blitz/pressure pkgs as they did against the Bucs. Green Bay was getting pressure with just 4 as well though.

He basically ended the game for the team with that throw… its in his head, he surrendered there.

They hate him
Logic has no reasonable input,
Not one quarterback in this league, that would’ve survived, behind this line
We sacked Love more times than dak got sacked, the line is fine and the same as last year. Yeah we'd like to see Steele replaced but the other guys are all top draft picks.

The Packers were running blitzes that the Cowboys did not pick up. I couple of times I saw them blitz two guys through the same gap and no one picked up either guy. At the same time, Tyler Smith and Beebe were standing their with no one to block. Someone got the protections all wrong. Instead of calling more slants to Pickens or CeeDee to the blitz side, he eventually called that stupid quick pass to CeeDee behind the line of scrimmage to the outside. There were 3 Packers there waiting for it. I am not expert but it is my understanding when 2 guys blitz from one side you throw to where they were because no one will be there.

Give the Packers credit, they played hard tight defense and played the way Dallas should play. They were locked on to our receivers on the LOS and did not let them get open. They blitzed to get pressure and made Dak very uncomfortable. I only wish the Cowboys would be that aggressive.

And you need to go review the game; you seem to blame everyone but dak. hum. The guys are getting sick of him; the effort will get worse. Then we can blame them more. You might have been celebrating those bogus ruffing the QB calls. If his tampoons hadn't fallen out of his lady purse, they probably wouldn't have been called.
