This is an impressive feat, even if it really is meaningless. The cherry on top? In Prescott's past 30 regular-season games in college and the NFL, he has thrown 9 interceptions in 975 attempts.

Anything around 2% is good. Less than 2 is very good. Less than 1 I've not seen with that number.

Dak Prescott has 4 INTs in 498 career attempts.

Can be 1st QB in @NFLhistory to have 5 or fewer INTs in his 1st 500 career attempts.

Although it is still comparably a small sample size,To put these numbers in perspective, Aaron Rodgers is the best of all time with only 1.6-% of his passes being intercepted. Dak throws half as many as the best of all time, to this point. Not a bad start to a career. Oh yeah and he's 14-3 as a starter.

He would have to come out against Denver and throw two straight int's to not get the record. That's as close to a sure thing that he owns the record as you can get.

Dak is a smart football player in a fantastic situation.

Unlike many rookies on bad teams, he doesn't end up in games where he has to to throw deep late to get a score because Dallas is trailing. Having a powerful ground game also takes a lot of pressure off of him.

Aside from the 1st game last year vs. the Giants, and the Pittsburgh game, [last game of the year vs. Philly doesn't count] I don't recall Dak having to run a hurry up offense in the final minutes trying to get a score while trailing. Without TWill's brain fart, we likely win that first game on a long Bailey FG. We all know what happened vs. the Steelers.

This is why I'm so encouraged by what the defense showed in the 1st game. I don't see us having a bunch of games this year where we enter the 4th quarter trailing and so Dak has to start putting the ball up to get some points in a hurry and risking the football. It's very much looking like ANOTHER year in which situations where Dak has to risk the football are going to be kept to a bare minimum.

I hope you're right about the defense. That would make this season as fun as last year.

The mother site, :star:.com posted video of Dak being asked about it and he seemed to be unaware of the stat and made it clear it doesn't matter to him at this time. He remains focused at his task as hand.
yawn, how cliched

I don't know what point you are making by that reply. Do you mean to disrespect me?
no, not you at all, Dak and not even really Dak, more on a comment about how athletes always say the same "proper" things and how it is so predictable.
