Starting with the Denver game thru the Philly game....10 games. Dak's numbers:

6-4

66% comp 263 ypg, 21tds 6ints 98 rating.

It makes me wonder how high he set the bar when these numbers are considered "bad".
Good part of those #’s were accumulated against nfc least wash & Philly practice squads. How were his #’s against good teams?Plus #’s don’t tell the whole story. He fails the eye test.

That wasn't the statement i was responding to.

I was responding to he was bad from Denver on...

I get it but let's take this analysis further. Let's see how the breakdown works with teams over .500 and below .500.

I don't have them, but it has already been done. It isn't as bad as you think.

Typical Dak lover making excuses.

Somebody can support Dak without being a "lover". Somebody can complain about him without being a "hater".

Just sayin'

Have to remember, Dak was a 4th round draft pick. Quarterbacks picked that low are seldom stars at quarterback. The Bradys and Warners are the exception not the rule.

Dak plays like a 4th rounder, if he had been better in college he'd have been drafted higher. So when people complain he's not "elite" or "top 5", well, what do you expect from a 4th round pick? We're lucky he didn't turn out to be a wasted, cut after a couple of years pick.

What he exhibited in 2016 showed he had potential, it hasn't panned out, he got to a certain level and that's as far as he going to go. Now that is good enough to win a SB, he's certainly at least as good as a Trent Dilfer or Nick Foles or Brad Johnson. Those teams had great defenses and at least solid offensives. Cowboys can certainly try to do the same. They better, Dak will never be Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees, etc. His shortcomings are easily seen, and after 5 seasons if he hasn't gotten any better he never will....

Yes, average bus drivers are 3rd in the league in qb rating and set the cowboys record for TDs in a season.

Just get him a RB that is competent...heck just give our best one the ball more than 6 times and it would be quite different. I don't see another qb in the league having to carry a gimping rb? Do you?
Dak lovers are just blind. As much talent around him as any team in the league and still lays eggs against any half decent team.I’ll give you he might be a great guy, but a great guy certainly doesn’t make a good QB or win championships. He has good leadership qualities, but doesn’t lead by example. At best has average arm talent, accuracy, processing thru progressions(seeing the field) and pocket awareness. But you Dak lovers continue to kiss his ***.Call him for what he is……an extremely rich average bus driver.

The Cowboys have several problems, the #1 being there over-hyped, over paid QB! Dak NEVER holds himself accountable, says they are the hardest working group in FB yet he’s the biggest up and down QB in the league who’s getting worse every year! Dak looked lost the entire game, he can’t find receivers, doesn’t feel pressure and more times than not turns into the pressure instead of scrambling out of it! I’m afraid my fellow Cowboy fans, sadly we’re in for a long haul until we can turn the corner financially on Dakota Prescott.

OK.

Now break those stats down between teams above .500 and then below. 500.

Now maybe the stats tell a different story but it seems to be the pressing issue facing Dak (and the team overall) is that they seemingly are chewing up bad teams and scuffling with the good ones.

You can’t be a great stat machine in half of your games and be dismal in the other half! That’s .500 ball which doesn’t make the playoffs!! Dak has some “real” soul searching to do if he ever wants to be defined in terms of Cowboys Greatness! Staubach & Aikmen have it, White & Romo don’t! It’s simple, win Super Bowls or bust! Nothing short matters and sadly I don’t believe Dak has that type of internal fortitude!

Dak is no Aaron Rodgers. But Aaron has played 15 years and has only one Super Bowl to his name. So maybe, just maybe it's not as easy as some think. We're stuck with Dak so those that hate him will be living with that hate in their hearts for years to come.

I've learned to wash my hands of the whole situation. And don't worry about things I can't change or control. Dak will be Dak. And Dak will be back.
You know I agree that we have no control but I just can’t with the folks that rave about him. Throw all these stats and say how great he is. Show me the money for a lack of better term
