Beat me to it.So, by the third quarter then![]()
He would need to win the next 3 SB’s plus more. How many playoff wins does he need to catch up to Aikman and Staubach?
True as we know, or all should realize some stats are not what they are.Personally, I think the way TD passes are tabulated should be reconsidered. For example, the offense is at the 50 yard line and the QB tosses a short 1 yard pass out to the left side. The receiver jukes the 1st defender and wins an easy open field race to the endzone for a TD. Did the QB really throw a "50 yard TD pass"? Not in my opinion, but I understand that how the NFL will track the stat.
I don’t think they would have. They took poundings in their time frames.Hard to say. If Roger and Troy played in this era they would have spent more time in concussion protocol than any other players in team history. For instance, Aikman would not have been allowed to play in Super Bowl 28. He was still having headaches and nausea from a concussion he suffered in the NFC title game.
When Staubach played it was even worse. Head injuries were dismissed. "Oh he's alright, he just got his bell rung". As soon as a player could stand up straight and count past two they let him play.
Every sensible Cowboys fan knows exactly what you 2 are doingI dont know about those other guys, but all I'm doing is defending a Top 5 QB as a Top 5 QB, as always.
You can talk eras, but you still have to be a high performer to achieve this status. In a era where N.F.L. defenses play with one hand tied behind their backs.
