Excellent decision to take off and pick up the 1st down in the Red Zone, but he already had the 1st by 3 yards. There is zero reason to take the hit at that point. The extra 2 yards aren’t worth the chance of losing the starter for the year.

No matter what one thinks of Eli, he was an iron man because he didn’t take unnecessary hits.

At first I thought that about CD too. Go down instead of taking on 3 guys at once. Stay healthy.

Then I thought this is the grinding I wanna see.

So shut up initial thoughts.

He showed his toughness. Teammates actually get fired up and love it.

Title needs changed...sounds like someone wants him to get hurt.

Fixed it.
Should say kneel down . Never know in these QB threads what intentions are. Im basically staying away from them now . Glad to see the site taking a strong position on them .

I bet every player on the team got fired up seeing that effort from Dak.
Well, I would have been more impressed to see it in the red zone and show they were trying to get TD's instead of FG's. I can't help thinking there is little to no trust in Dak the past 2 games.

Wasn't that run on the first drive? When they needed points. Once they got a two score lead I would expect Dak/McCarthy to dial the risk factor down and prioritize time management.

It didn't seem like a trust thing to me. More like a game management thing.

It’s called playing smart football. We aren’t use to seeing it around here but McCarthy got a ring doing it. I trust him.

You 2 sound like you are making excuses. Are you saying MM intended to kick all those FG's?

The 2007 NE Patriots were notorious for running up the score on opponents and never taking their foot off the throat of their opponents. That's what I want to see. But Dak isn't Brady and never will be, so we'll be settling for way too many FG's this year, whether a TD is needed or not. No trust in Dak? You settle for the FG's

To each his own.

I want to see W's and when the game is completely in control there is no reason to show your hand to future opponents by reaching into the playbook for no good reason.

True. But that will fade if he’s knocked out for the year. It just wasn’t necessary in this situation. It made sense against on his TD run against the Falcons coming back from the ankle. He needed to show to himself, the team and the rest of the league he wasn’t mentally limited by it.

I wish he wouldn't dive head first. I cringe every time. WE NEED HIM. Get the first down and more if pssible, then slide feet first.
