Dak never makes the play

Dak had a chance to make you forget all the dumb things the cowboys did in the game.
But he choke and threw the ball away, instead.
Agreed, as bad as the defense was, you always want the ball in your hands to end the game. Dallas had that opportunity and blew it.

I am still perplexed at what Dak was looking at there?

Did he not think that Pickens was open? I get chucking it away in that situation if the read isn't there and you don't want to take a sack, but watching that replay, Pickens is open for the TD. All Dak has to do is put the ball in there. Instead, he acts like the play is blown so he chucks it into the crowd to not take a sack.

Weird.
no pickens wasnt open when dak threw the ball.
I stopped it when dak was releasing the ball and pickens wasnt open yet.
daks decision was made before that when pickens was covered closely.

Had dak waited 1 sec longer maybe 2 then pickens was open.
Because they had no TO , dak looks and if it looks good throw it to him, if it doesnt look good , throw it over his head.

It wasnt shotty telling him to throw it away, that makes no sense, they were trying to score a td, while not losing a chance for a FG,
One way they screwed up and other teams do this too , is letting the clock run on the drive down, then they wind up not having enough time to operate with no TO.
At one point dak ran off 10-12 seconds changing plays, then balt called timeout lol.
If they had that 12 sec plus 14, that would be 26 seconds, which would allow them to even run the ball 1 or 2 times, or for dak to look at his 2nd and 3rd option, or for him to run it in himself if they are covered.

But letting that time run off left them in a restricted situation.

As bad as the Ravens' defense was, these losers on offense should have easily won that one. No team loses when the other team scores 31 unless you have dak.

It was actually worse than that. They lined up no-huddle and he ran off 35 seconds before Balt called the timeout.

I initially thought the Cowboys called the timeout to avoid the delay of game while in the hurry up, no huddle. lol

No one said he had to be perfect.
Please don't shed any tears for him, tho.
Well, when nearly every objective measure shows that he’s a top-tier QB, and there is a cadre of folks here who wanna say “he missed a wide open so-and-so”, you’ll forgive me for pointing out that the standard DOES appear to be perfection.

Meanwhile, we continue trading away future draft picks to shore up a recently quite-putrid defense that, if only it were average, would win us a lot more games.

I wouldn’t characterize my post as “shedding a tear” for Dak and more as “trying to inject an ounce of rational thought into an otherwise irrational conversation”.
