Cowboys QB Dak Prescott doesn’t see the fan tours at The Star being an issue: “For one, this is all I know. I'm not going to let a couple people touring the building distract me.

I'm present where I am. I think, honestly, it's an excuse. What's the difference in (reporters) coming in the locker room and talking? Guys ***** about that too. And I don't get that.

“It's being professional, some things you deal with. Obviously, I guess, the nature of this organization, the tours are probably 10 times more than other places, if other places are doing them. ... You got to embrace it. Honestly. You can walk by and have a negative mindset about it and allow it to ruin your day, or you can be thankful that you're in an organization that people want to see.

“For me, it's just easy to say ‘What’s up,’ wave and keep walking. I think I've heard you feel like a zoo animal, well, it's like, sometimes I bark back and I say ‘Hey,’ and you just keep rolling. A lot going on, I'm not going to allow a couple of people (walking) through the workplace, there's people on the other side of the building that you don't necessarily know. Is it a distraction when you're grabbing your plate and they're grabbing theirs? It's easy to focus on what you want to focus on, if that's your mindset.”

On if that has played a role in winning and losing:

“I don't think so. If that's the case then the crowd is a distraction when you get out there. It's the NFL. It's a business that those exact reasons that this game is entertaining, that people want to watch it, that you have the fans that you have and you can create the relationships. If you're distracted by that then you're distracted by the fans in any arena you get into.”

"For one, this is all i know."

He has nothing to compare it to. What an organization that is all about football looks like is something Prescott has not seen or known.

Dak doesn't get it, but why am I not surprised.

It's not the distraction that the tours provide that is the problem. It is the principle.

Jerry Jones has created a circus atmosphere around this team. All of the small things add up to create a worse environment for winning than most NFL franchises. Why in the world would our owner, president, and GM prioritize anything over providing a winning product on the field? It makes no sense.

The guy literally landed a helicopter on the practice field in the middle of preparation for a game. It shows contempt and disregard for the attention to detail required in the preparation process for a team to win in the NFL.

Because winning important games does not equal money. Jerry HAS proven that. You can sell snake oil and put a roster with the same flaws and zero depth on the field every year yet low brow Cowboys fans will fork their money over to him in record numbers.

He has no impetus to change. And I don't blame him.

“Probably ten times more than other places?”

Doesn’t happen at ALL elsewhere as far as yesterdays report.

Maybe it doesn’t hurt, but it might, and the fact that players have to answer questions on it already tells me it could be done without.

Man...Im no Devil's advocate...

Im Pro-Dak but not unrealistically Homerish...

But man, Dak's takes this year have got to burn the Anti-Dak crowd.

He is really taking it to the unreasonable haters with his takes

"We werent going 17-0 anyway...WHOO-HOO" lol

"Im not letting a couple people distract me...its an excuse" lol

Players shrugging off the unreasonable negativity/hate this day and age seems pretty fair to me. Everyone is wise to it and knows is unreasonable...everyones desensitized to it.

Current players are not going to criticize, especially when most of them only know what it's like to play for this team. Players like Dak and Parsons would be fine with anything as long as they get their contracts and can use the Cowboys brand to boost their own endorsements and side ventures (ex: podcast).

The Cowboys as a business is just unstoppable. It's only a matter of time before the Jones Family allows people to bid a ton of money to be a Special Guest Assistant Coach for every game. You get to wear a headset and stand on the sideline in coaching attire.
