Dak on his legacy - I want to win a championship

Jay Cutler was intelligent but couldn’t contend with his fear. Cam was too stupid to be afraid and played the superman part till it permanently ended his career.

Excellent take.
Cutler once threw 4 interceptions to Deangelo Hall.....

When asked why he kept throwing it to Deangelo Hall he responded.....

"I've played against [Hall] before -- there's no reason to shy away from him. That's hard to say after throwing four picks at a guy, but if we had to play him tomorrow, I'd go at him every time."

Brain Dead.....Idiot.

Not sure why, he proved he was braindead when he had to use his head to win games and failed miserably.

I'm not running down accomplishment, dear, you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do they always say a QB had no receiving threats when he can't read a D?
Who was his receiving threats? Teddy Ginn? He surely didn't have Brandon Marshall follow him from team to team.

Why is it when Cam threw picks he can't read a defense but Jay Cutler throws picks and he's intelligent?

Will it have the deer in the headlights mode?

Can't argue with the "deer in the headlights" comment. But I was trying to find out if there were any other "deer in the headlights" quarterbacks who have been perennial top ten quarterbacks their whole career, became an All-Pro and MVP candidate.

What are their names? Or is Dak the first deer in headlights quarterback in history to have done those things.....

It all comes down to the ability to read a D. When Cam played later for NE, he was exposed badly w/ his inability to read a D.

Cutler is an intelligent dummy. I'm sure you know a few, I know I do.

Steve Smith, Greg Olsen, and a great #2 in Brandon LaFell.

Honestly, why don't you look this up yourself?

Apparently you're a Cam fan, and that's fine, but intelligent he was not.

Now, we're speaking of football intelligence, no other kind. Other types are not relevant to this discussion. Ryan Fitzpatrick was one of the smartest QBs in the league, but not a great QB because he wasn't smart fast enough. Gotta be quick w/ the ol' brain cells.

OMG, did you resort to name calling? Sign of the weak.

You said Cam was too stupid? Well he won the league MVP before.

How do a stupid player win an award for being the best NFL player out of over 1600 professional football players?

Yeah they use "stupid" a little too freely to me. HE had his faults.....but I don't recall him being a stupid player. Now him not diving for that football was gutless for sure.

No I never said he was "intelligent"....though I Do think it takes a certain intellect to be a quarterback in the NFL but I never argued that. I never said he was a smart QB. What I said was he wasn't "brain dead".

I'm not even a Cam fan lol. That's like me assuming you're a Cutler fan.

Steve Smith was past his prime by the time Cam had his MVP season and Greg Olsen was blah.....the whole offense was the running game with Newton, Stewart and Williams.

Lafell was a good player but "great" is a extreme word to use to describe him.

Im not a Cam fan, but im trying to understand how a quarterback can take his team to a Superbowl and win the league MVP award without being able to read defenses.

If that's the case, then why haven't more quarterbacks who can't read defenses, led their teams to Superbowls and won MVPs?

And I have no argument with your point. Im just addressing the myths and false narratives that our playoff problems are all due to Dak.

Was he part of the problem? Absolutely. Was he THE only reason? Absolutely not.
Just curious if you ever get tired of this narrative? I mean, pretty much everyone already knows this simple concept. It’s not like you are bringing anyone fresh info.

The simple fact is he plays QB, and he’s the highest paid one at that. A QB is not the only reason a team wins or loses, but he is the one that can affect the game’s outcome more than any other position. He’s the one that is supposed to elevate the play of the other players around him.

When Dak is getting paid the amount he is, and the Cowboys are getting the results they are, you are fighting a very steep uphill battle when you expect everyone to divide the blame equally

That doesn't make sense.

The MVP isn’t a spelling contest or an IQ test. It’s a vote generally based on pure athleticism. Can had athleticism in spades. What he lacked was the grey matter between the ears.
