Dak on his legacy - I want to win a championship

Just curious if you ever get tired of this narrative? I mean, pretty much everyone already knows this simple concept. It’s not like you are bringing anyone fresh info.

The simple fact is he plays QB, and he’s the highest paid one at that. A QB is not the only reason a team wins or loses, but he is the one that can affect the game’s outcome more than any other position. He’s the one that is supposed to elevate the play of the other players around him.

When Dak is getting paid the amount he is, and the Cowboys are getting the results they are, you are fighting a very steep uphill battle when you expect everyone to divide the blame equally
An Eagle fan can’t really speak on Cowboy matters especially objectively. Because anyone who saw Hurts this year understands the point @GINeric is making….

I mean, this is really common knowledge.

Don't know as I've seen a player propped up this much who had one good season.
Eithe you didn’t witness or didn’t want to see it. Cam was a freak of nature who never had any elite talent around him or any elite coaching. It’s not like now where guys have Addison/Jefferson or Higgins/Chase or Smith/Brown…back then if you were mobile teams expected you to do more with less and when you didn’t it was your fault. Vince Young, Vick, Cam…..with better talent they would’ve had better careers.

LOL UMM OK NEVER When will we start using these words he literally had for a few years a still very good Steve Smith almost his whole career he had one of the best tight ends in NFL history and Greg Olson he also had good running backs all the time some of them were actually great they weren't Hall of Famers but don't act like I mean you guys sound like the people who claimed that has all the weapons that Romo didn't have or vice versa and everybody's on 1 side dude your memories flawed he had plenty of great teammates very much like the Dallas Cowboys they couldn't get it done when it counted and now you're making excuses for cam that you don't make for dak or Romo or maybe you do on one side or the other either way the teams win and lose but don't act like this dude didn't have guys with him..

He actually did for at least three seasons he had some really good talent with him.... I mean outside of a great coaching staff and a really good defense for the most part Lamar Jackson goes through the same thing you're not always getting teams that do the all in thing and load you up with talent and if they do it's for 1 or 2 seasons I don't want to hear the excuse though this is the same thing that the two sides have with Romo versus deck and they both be wrong they had plenty of talent at some points but that talent didn't take them far enough they failed in the biggest moments and that's just the way it is in sports sometimes you just don't get it done...

Yet other teams have found a way to win with way less quarterbacks we talk about this all the time with the Trent Dilfer Jim McMahon Nick Foles brad Johnson I mean that's just the name of you there are plenty of quarterbacks who actually lost Super Bowls like Kaepernick and Garoppolo and recently Brock Purdy I mean guys they even got the championship games with Blake Bortles and Mark Sanchez let's stop talking about his lack of talent he had it they didn't get it done they when I say they like I do for our own Cowboys the team lost the coaching staff lost they all lost together..

Crying about never having support blah blah blah no I'm tired of hearing that even the Dallas Cowboys at some points have had like nine pro bowlers and still didn't get past the first round or didn't get past the 2nd round it is what it is sometimes you just aren't good enough that the team you're going against is better than you....

Steve Smith wasn’t elite then last few years with Cam.

When Dak actually just gets to a super bowl you can mention him with "Kaepernick and Garoppolo and recently Brock Purdy"

Because the Cowboys philosophy is to have a team that is built to a caliber to make the playoffs and then rely on fate to carry them through. The great teams understand the value of churning roster and getting better. Understand the importance of executing trades to patch weak parts going into the playoffs. The Cowboys don’t do that.

He put up really good numbers i'm not going to debate this with you you're exaggerating the word never people around here should stop doing that all over the Internet let's say zero chance never or always..

they're pinning themselves into a corner for a debate like this, he had years where he had a very good ,Steve Smith, yes it was towards the end and Steve went elsewhere and still was putting up good numbers with the Ravens... But Greg Olson was bawling stewart at the time was a running back but they had other really good running backs just with the exaggerations it's like when everyone says Barry Sanders didn't have the offensive line and the talent that Emmett Smith had and that was wrong he had three Pro Bowl and a couple Hall of Fame offensive lineman but people forget that... It's just the Internet I get it but I hate the word never I hate the word always or zero chance or recently what triggered me, was hands down, case closed, period end of story, the best you know that's an opinion right?.
I'm just trying to say it's no different than many other quarterbacks that we're here with the Cowboys they had a lot of talent but when it counted the talent withered maybe they didn't have the talent of an all in team but neither has Romo or Dak and to some extent lamar Jackson..

I get what you're saying and you can debate this till you're blue in the face i've already told you twice I looked it up he had enough talent on that team to do better and they just didn't I mean it's pretty much the same as what's been going on here for the last 30 years....

Except for that one time.

lol
Well the irony is they are saying he was dumb for not doing it but him not doing it in the SB is highly regarded as one of the biggest mistakes of his career.

You didn’t do proper research then go look at that SB team. There is no Steve Smith….he was in Baltimore…his receivers were Corey Brown and Tedd Ginn….now tell
Me how great they were.

Not talking about just the Super Bowl year i'm talking about three years prior i'm talking about a good portion and I don't need to do research we're talking about someone that's not even a cowboy i'm just trying to relate it to what our quarterbacks have went through it's normal but don't say he's never had talent it's not just about Steve Smith one of the best titans in the league always a solid running back a pretty **** good defense I mean don't sit here and tell me Luke Keekley wasn't there and some pretty damn good players you're exaggerating you're making excuses it's what Cowboys fans do and I understand but you're making excuses you're exaggerating you said never i'm talking about the three years prior to the Super Bowl steve Smith was there there was good players there I'm just reminding you of that you said never the word never not just the Super Bowl year so you could keep back tracking all you want I don't put get pushed back you're wrong the word never should have not been used because it's not true.

Moving on this is not cowboy related other than our quarterbacks have suffered the same issues inconsistent rosters but they had also had years where they had some of the best rosters you're making excuses for cam and it's sad but hey carry on....

Not going to happen now or any time in his career. Best shot Dakota had to win a NFC championship, not even a SB, is in his dreams.
