They got down to the Giants 22 with 31 seconds left. Then Romo began throwing incompletions. He threw three straight incompletions from the Giants 23 and then got picked with 16 seconds left on the clock. The Cowboys still had time but Romo forced one on fourth down. An 11 yard completion would’ve given us a first down with still a few ticks left. He had plenty of opportunity to put the ball in the endzone on that drive but kept misfiring. He was off the entire day. He only completed 50% of his passes. Had that been Dak you would claim he choked….fact! But here you are apologizing for Romo. lol

If that was true, I would admit it but you’re wrong. I was very critical of Romo and his ill timed turnovers, but I always supported him. I made the same argument about him that I’ve made about Dak. Who could we get that was better? Nobody! He was one of the better QBs in the league just like Dak. It hasn’t been the QBs that are holding us back. It’s been the teams, coaching and ownership. Plus, we’ve struggled to build a championship caliber defense.

well if Diggs doesn't drop the sure interception that hit him square in the hands, then yeah, SF doesn't score down in the redzone. if Diggs just gets in with Kittle instead of ducking to hit him, the Kittle doesn't make a big play catch in the middle of the field and SF doesn't drive down to score.

Dude… 27-0 at the half. Not only did Dak and the offense sputter and misfire all half— Dak’s pick 6 was a horrific decision and an absolute back breaker.

If you think that L vs GB is the same as the L vs NYG— you don’t know football. There was actually a chance we could win the game vs NY, but all they could do vs GB was slap some lipstick on the pig in the 2nd half and window dress their stat line.

Remember the OP: this thread exists because Dak is talking (again) about his legacy and wanting to win a SB. I am not comparing him to Romo. You brought up the NY game to minimize Dak’s suckfest against GB.

I didn’t put all the blame on Romo but he had an opportunity in the end and didn’t get it done. The defense is what ultimately cost us that ball game. We could never get the Giants off the field on third down. We had a costly penalty on the Giants first drive that led to a TD. We had them stopped and DWare committed a penalty. We proceeded to give up a 52 yard TD pass to Toomer. We gave up an 8 play drive with less than 50 seconds left in the half that allowed the Giants to tie the game.

Marion Barber who rushed for over 100 yards in the first half was out of gas in the second half. He had under 30 yards rushing in the second half. You need to get it out of your head that I hated Romo. I don’t sugarcoat anything if I don’t like a player I’ll tell you. I’m one of the most critical fans on this board. The problem with you is you apologize for him but you wouldn’t dare do that with Dak.

The bolded is the problem. That is the foundation for your entire argument. It is simply not true. Dak is judged by what he brings to the table in the post season games. The number of people here who aren't smart enough to understand that the judgment doesn't start and stop with the QB is practically nil.

The general sentiment that Dak doesn't have what it takes to win a championship does not also mean that Dak is expected to win a championship with any roster.
