Dak passing from "clean pocket"

Is this saying that Dak throws a catchable ball when he's got good protection only about half the time? Or that he's only got a clean pocket about half the time?

And, no, Keenum has not thrown 100% of catchable anything by week 13 of the regular season. I'm sorry. SKOL or no SKOL.

I never see any of these tweets....(sigh)

Guess it comes with being old school and having a real computer.

It is saying *in* Week 13 Dak *when* he had a clean pocket threw a catchable ball only 53% of the time.

Again I just ran across it and can't vouch for the user or the statistics... But from a purely eye test measure it's not hard to argue that Dak has been inaccurate even when not pressured.

For those in the twittersphere producing these statistics they all seem to point to the dame conclusion.... That even when not pressured Dak has been awful? Is he having a hard time keeping focused and his eyes downfield after the Falcons massacre?

Ah! That I buy.

He has appeared to be better on the move all year...... this helps confirm that

ok, you should have stopped reading when Turbiskey came in at 100%. that tells you the value of measuring this statistic
Trubisky nearly completed 100% of his passes, period, (12-15) so it's not like there's anything shocking about him being 100% in a clean pocket.

He didn't throw any INTs in week 13.

Who defines clean pocket? Clean for how long? If it's clean for 4 seconds and he throws the ball away it will count against him in these types of stats but nobody would recommend him just continuing to hold the ball if nobody is open.

But anyone with eyes can see that it's not always on the WRs or the OL, Dak has thrown some pretty bad passes even he hasn't been pressured.

these numbers might not be exact but they give a picture of accuracy. I believe thats the point.
These numbers are a joke. Tribusky, throws 100% accurate passes from a clean pocket after 12 games. The sameTrubisky who leads his team to 14 points vs the Niners.

Yeah, I think these "stats" are getting ridiculous now because in many cases the stats themselves are based on completely subjective views of a game.
PFF hires bloggers to evaluate games and they do it before the All-22 is available...

Against the Skins (week 13), Dak completed 11 of 22. That means according to PFF, he was 3 of 7 when pressured or out of the pocket, and 8 of 15 when inside the pocket with no pressure. There's a later tweet by the same guy that says 81.4% of Dak's passes from a clean pocket this season have been catchable. He says Prescott ranks 22nd among the QB they've been tracking, but then he also says the NFL average is 82.2%. So Dak's a little below average in this department, and was undoubtedly above average through week 9.

Of course, this doesn't include any attempts when pressured, or any attempts from outside the pocket regardless of pressure.
