so impressed with 4, was just in command all night. Keep that up and I like our chances against anyone.
At this point Dak’s put film out of everything you need a QB to do. It’s just a matter of doing enough of those things consistently.Dak looked so unbelievably prepared for everything the Bucs did. I seriously sat there in awe a few times
Agreed. For whatever reason he seems to pass better after he's had a run or two.Dak was lights out.. because he played HIS strengths..
...
- He uses his LEGS...
I think it is two fold.. I think when he runs it feels more natural. We have tried to turn him into a pocket passer.. he is not a pocket passer. I think when he moves and runs.. he just feels more comfortable and has less time to 'think'. Also I think he enjoys (very much) being "the man" so when he has a couple of runs.. picks up a first down/good yardage.. I think it just makes him feel better and then he calms down and throws better.Agreed. For whatever reason he seems to pass better after he's had a run or two.
Imagine thinking “I wonder what MountaineerCowboy is thinking?” instead of enjoying a win.It must bring a tear to your eye.
Said the same thing last night. Great game by Dak, crisp, accurat, and motivated.A shake start where he was rushing everything.
But after that 2nd drive, he played lights out.
Efficient.
Precise.
Dang near perfect.
Dak played beyond outstanding tonight.

Yeah those first two series were very putrid, but the defense did a solid and returned the favor. You got the feeling that it was going to be a low scoring affair and the team that him on track first was probably going to win, and they did.A shake start where he was rushing everything.
But after that 2nd drive, he played lights out.

Now if he can do it against a good team/defense is the questionBout time he has a complete game without mistakes

If he can ever play at that level 13/14 games a season he’d be much less controversial.
I liked the up tempo. I also liked the runs to the outside by Polalrd. I had been screaming about those....get those DTs running and get them winded and the pass rush slows down. you may not get many yards from the plays, but man does it kill the DTs. now, if you succeed as we did in a few, then that much better.Dak was lights out.. because he played HIS strengths..
Dak looks great when:
- We don't abandon the run (we stayed at 50/50 play selection most of the game, even though the run game wasn't dominating.. it was getting enough to keep TB defence honest)
- We play up tempo and allow him to get into a good rhythm.
- His receivers make a couple of good catches to settle him down (that first Gallup catch that required a vertical leap case in point)
- He uses his LEGS.. to either pick up first downs or score.. or just to keep the defence honest and prevent them getting into too much triple coverage
- He TAKES what the defence gives him (so finding open receivers and spreading the ball around)
- He spreads the receptions around (when he becomes fixated on one receiver or one 'area' he struggles)
- When we limit the trickery
- When we limit the penalties and keep the chains moving
We did all that tonight and Dak absolutely nailed it. That is the blueprint for Dak.. and I just hope that he doesn't allow this victory to send him back to a "I'm Tom Brady" mindset.. he doesn't actually need to deliver heroics.. just solid play, protect the ball and use the weapons. If Dak plays at this level.. we could seriously go on a deep run.
