"It's not how you start, it's how you finish"...…………..Richard Petty. He didn't really say this but he should have and he'd be famous.

Actually that saying is attributed to Jim George, I looked it up, and it's pretty likely Jeff George never heard it.

It's just 2 games, the first 2 games, and a lot can change, just ask the 92 Cowboys and 07 Giants.

You don't know who you are until after Thanksgiving.

If he's trolling, he did a good job of his research. Eddie LeBaron was the first Cowboys QB, albeit just 5' 7". In those days height didn't matter as much since most plays were runs.

Don did miss out on the first two Super Bowls. That's not a discredit to him, more like a credit to Bart Starr and the Green Bay Packers who had a coach named Vince Lombardi (maybe some of yall have heard of him). But Don was always Mr. Cowboy.

Danny never made the Super Bowl as a starter but he does have a ring from X11. He was the QB in the 49er game when Joe Montana threw to Dwight Clarke, for "The Catch " to win 28-27. His other two NFC Championship losses were to Dick Vermeil's Eagles and Joe Gibb's Commanders, who won the Super Bowl that year.

So it wasn't like the Cowboys were playing bums. When you put it in perspective, its been pretty good. And when you think of all the teams that would just love to be in those positions at then end of the season, you can't complain. Somebody has to win and somebody has to lose and that's the way the game is played.

Yeah but he specifically said without reaching Super Bowl the season was a failure. That means losing in championship game to him would be a failure . Which would be farthest we’d been this era and as far as Meredith or White had who weren’t considered failures.
